Fashion Mistakes
Pairings: Ikaris x Persephone!Eternal!Reader (Sephia) and Druig x Hecate!Eternal!Reader (Kaetlyn) Words: ~2.5 k Summary: Sephia needs a wardrobe upgrade, and Sersi is as much as a menace as Kaet sometimes Warning: Probably very inaccurate descriptions of historical fashion trends, Sersi is a 10/10 shipper, Kaety is dramatic AF, Druig is an unbothered king Notes: This drabble was inspired by a scene in 27 dresses, if you know you know. Please reblog and like and comment! Shoutout to @ethereal-athalia & @valeskafics for being the most supportive people on this platform!
You loved your sisters. But there were times where the two of them could be a bit…much, especially when they worked together. This was evident by how the two Eternals razed through her closet to sort out her clothes to decide which were to be kept, and which would be discarded. Every piece of furniture or tile on the floor was covered in an array of textiles and patterns as if a hurricane ran through a fabric store.
“Is this really necessary?” you groaned out.
“Yes,” came the two voices in unison.
“Don’t I at least get a say in what I get to keep?”
“No.”
“Can you the two of you at least look at me before you throw everything away?”
“Can’t.” “In the zone.”
“Druig?” you looked over to her brother-in-law for help, hoping that he could maybe talk his wife down. “Do you think you could maybe help me out here?”
The mind-controller Eternal was watching the same scene as his distressed sister, only with a much more amused gaze. He looked extremely out of place in the sea of colors in his ensemble of handmade cotton shirt layers with dark blue linen pants. The only accessories he donned were the ebony wood beaded bracelet Kaety commissioned for him over 500 years ago, along with the golden ring he wore on a chain from their private wedding.
“Unfortunately, Sephia,” he began, “I’m afraid that you’re unable to convince my angel, I won’t be much more help. But you are more than welcome to keep trying. Perhaps in your success, you may convince her to spare me a glance. As much as I adore time spent with our daughters, I feel a bit defenseless on my own.”
It was only when Kaety heard her husband’s little quip that she broke her concentration. She pouted her lips to show her displeasure, but only for a short moment before she crossed the room to embrace the man she’s loved for her entire lifetime. The pure love and adoration that shone in the pair’s eyes made it feel like you were the one intruding on a private moment than the other three in your own room. It baffled you sometimes to witness the pair’s love. It often left you wondering if you would ever be able to have a love and bond as strong as theirs in your future. But after living for over seven millennium, you knew that the odds were not in your favor.
“Feeling lonely, my love?” she asked so sweetly. “How cruel of me to neglect you in favor of someone else.” You rolled her eyes at her best friend’s facetious pity, Kaety loved teasing her husband almost as much as Druig loved teasing her. There truly weren’t two souls more meant for one another than the other.
Sometimes the site of their tender smiles and private laughs made your heart feel a bit heavy, since it hasn’t been long since you realized your own longings for love, especially towards a certain man with silver streaks and blue eyes.
“Sephia is right though,” commented Sersi, “we’re going to need more people to help out if we’re going to sort through this mess out. Are you sure Phastos can’t come?”
“It’s not so much he can’t, but more that he won’t.” Kaety explained whilst still locked in Druig’s embrace as he laid small kisses across her face. “He’s still insisting that the last time he was here, some of the ghosts latched on to him and took residence in his house when he got back.”
“And that claim would be completely out the question, why?” you quizzically asked with one eyebrow raised.
“Because they weren’t ghosts.” Kaetlyn stated in a matter-of-factly tone. “They were hobgoblins. And it’s not like they caused any trouble anyway! Ben and Jack didn’t even notice anything.”
“I still can’t believe that you managed to convince Phastos to let you babysit Jack. How do you explain it to Jack when he sees you do magic, or whenever the twins see something that he can’t?” Sersi asked as she continued to sort through the closet to see what else needed to be discarded.
“Oh come on! You make it sound like I’m incapable of not using magic for everything! I am more than able to not use it for a couple of hours, and the twins are still at an age when they point at something, we can just say it’s their imagination at work. Isn’t that right, my beloved?”
“Of course, my angel,” replied Druig, “but in the defense of our friend, our girls picked up on your tendency to pick up scary strays. Especially the kind who happen to have sharp teeth and a taste for humans.” His aquamarine eyes gleamed in mirth at his wife’s pout.
“How can you say that?!” Kaetlyn exclaimed indignantly as she lightly shoved his shoulder. “You make them sound as if they are no different from deviants, when they are far more adorable and lovable!”
“Only those with your blood will find such creatures ‘lovable,’” remarked your husband who would soothe your piecing gaze with a graze of his lips on your cheek, “my beautiful, beautiful Kaetlyn, Mother of Witches and Monsters indeed.” His last words whispered out so softly as he leaned in to kiss his beautiful wife, a kiss she eagerly reciprocated.
“Alright you two, let’s focus on the task at hand,” Sersi interjected the lovers’ quarrel, “so Phastos is out of the question in terms of helping?”
“Probably for the best anyway,” you confirmed, “Kaety still insists that his style is too much of a homebody.”
“Anyone who owns that many cardigans and sweater vests is already mentally prepared to be placed in a home.”
“But thankfully for us,” Sersi added on with a little gleam in her eyes, “I had enough foresight to predict our issue and already invited someone here to help us.”
“Please tell me you didn’t invite Kingo,” pleaded Druig, “I don’t think I can handle another one of those ‘tea parties’ he and Laoise and Aisling insist on putting on every time he visits.”
“No, it’s not Kingo,” placated Sersi, “but he should be here at any moment.”
She had that look in her eye that matched Kaetlyn whenever she came up with another one of her “ingenious” ideas.
“Um, he?” asked Kaety. “Whomst is this ‘he’?”
And like a stroke of magic, a knock broke them out of their conversation. And four pairs of eyes locked at the sight of a single man with a silver streak in his hair and devastatingly beautiful blue eyes that stood with so much self-importance you could choke on it five miles out.
“Judging by the look in your eyes,” he stated to break the shocked silence, “I can assume that I wasn’t expected to be here?” Whatever he was about to say next died in his throat at the sight of Sephia. The overloading smugness in his eyes softened to awestruck adoration when he took in the love of his life.
Here you stood, healthy and beaming, so different from the pale and tired figure that he had to come to terms with for the past 400 years. Here was Sephia, his Sephia, lively and standing and in good health. You weren't wearing the drab and shapeless dark blue and light gray garments that hid her sinful figure from the crowd. You instead wore a pair of dark blue wash flared jeans, along with a square neckline white floral patterned peasant blouse, paired with antique statement rings and delicate necklace. It was as if you was brought straight from an issue of Vogue in the seventies.
“Ikaris,” you whispered.
“Stars,” he thought, “even her voice no longer sounds as strained.”
Thanos ruined plenty of lives, made a mockery of the Avengers, and wasted 7000 years of hard labor in postponing Tiamut’s emergence with just a single snap of his fingers. But in Ikaris’ mind, all of that was justified if it meant he got to see his flower blooming in all of her rarity, as opposed to withering away in a dark and damp jungle. Half of the universe was gone now, but Sephia was healthy and alive and strong – and that meant even more to Ikaris than failing his mission to Arishem.
On the other side of the room, you stood in silence as she took in the sudden appearance of your friend. Partially in mortification that he was seeing the state of her room in the mess it was in. But a larger part in joy in seeing your friend who long became the man you gave her heart to since the first time he decided to wait outside the commune’s borders because you wanted to show him your garden. But all in shock that he decided to willingly come so close to Druig and Kaet in their home where their children reside far from the rest of humanity.
“Ikaris!” Sersi exclaimed with a tone that convinced no one that she didn’t plan this happening. “Thank Arishem you’re here! Luckily, we’ve already decided to keep everything up to the late 19th century, but from here on out we need to sort through the past 10 decades to make room for a more modern ensemble. In fact, you really do have great timing because I need to go somewhere right now, and so do Kaety and Druig. SO, we will just leave you two alone!”
Silence still rang through the air as one pair could only stare in longing for the other, while another pair stood next to one another in disbelief as one other person was basically shoving out the door. But silence was not for long as Kaety took matters in her own hands as she turned to her beaming friend in trademark green once all three were all out of earshot.
“Sersi, what Lovecraftian fuckery are you pulling right now?”
You stood in one of your favorite Thea Porter’s dresses, trying very hard to calm the rapid beating of her heart, all to prepare herself to once more face the man on the other side of the changing screen. You never expected to see him in your room, still as ruggedly handsome as he would always remain. You never expected to have these feelings for Ikaris- for anyone really- but they grew to the point where by the time you recognized it, you was already in the middle. Feeling your face heat and fluster, you put your hair in a simple and loose braid in attempt to cool herself. Stepping into view, you tried your best to seem calm and collected, but everything inside you felt anything but that.
“This is one of my favorite dresses,” you stated, “what do you think?”
“I think you need to take off that dress and wrap those legs around me so I can take you on every surface of this house in a tree,” was the first thing that came to Ikaris’ mind. But he couldn’t say exactly that, and so all he stated was the second thought in his mind. “You’re beautiful Sephia, you’ve always been beautiful in everything you wear.”
The sincerity swimming in his eyes made you wish you could drown in them. Blushing mad with a shy smile, you did her best to not seem like you wasn’t bursting at the seams from joy at his words. “Ikaris, the only way I’ll be able to get rid of anything is if you be honest.”
“Sephia,” Ikaris replied, “there is truly no one on this planet who could ever compare to you, in radiance and in beauty. I honestly can’t think of anything that wouldn’t look perfect on you.”
“Well, I do have something that I think may change that opinion,” you remarked with a twinkle in your eyes before dashing inside your closet to grab something and once more hiding behind the change screen. “Wait for a little bit, it takes a while to put on!”
After a few minutes of audible struggling, Ikaris was tempted to ask you if you needed any help taking off putting on your outfit, when you announced that you was done and then stepped into view, and Ikaris’ eyes grew wide with horror.
“What the hell is that?”
“It’s a hobble skirt!” you exclaimed, far too amused by reaction. “It was a very short-lived trend in the US from 1908 to 1914. Its popularity declined during World War I.”
“I can see why,” Ikaris remarked, “are they at all comfortable?”
“Oh, not at all. But they did serve as inspiration for the sheath skirts in the 1950s.”
“Sheath skirts?”
“Pencil skirts, I suppose. But it does look awful, doesn’t it?”
“Ugh, terrible. Is this the worst one you have?”
“Oh no, this doesn’t even come close.” You went back to your vintage treasure trove to search for a particularly dreadful ensemble, and what you pulled out could only be described as an antebellum nightmare. “This is my favorite, by far.”
“Oh my-” Ikaris’ hand covered his mouth in horror, “what the hell is that? And please tell me that you didn’t actually commission this to be made for you.”
“You’ll be happy to find out that I did not ask for this to be made for me. It was a gift from the matriarch a very sweet family I was staying with during my travels in 1850s.”
“Gift? Sephia, that’s not a ‘gift.’ That’s a punishment in the form of flouncing yellows, oversized orange flowers, and what I assume to be 15 layers of petticoats.”
“10 layers, and this is only the dress. Wait till you see the bonnet that comes with it.”
“Oh gods – there’s a bonnet?”
“And a matching parasol.”
Momentary silence echoed between them before a huge grin spread across his face. “That’s it, you need to put that on, right now.”
For the next several hours, the two went through only the very worst contents of Sephia’s closet. From the green taffeta balloon dress from the 80s to the orange ballerina dress that looked it was designed by a ballet-obsessed 8-year-old, they spent the entire day laughing and smiling more than either had in the last five centuries. The sight of it all made Sersi so happy in knowing she had been the cause of this success.
“You know what you’re doing is really creepy, right?” Druig commented, bringing his friend out of her dreams of planning her friends’ future wedding as she continued to spy at the happy almost-couple with Kaety’s magic.
“If watching Ikaris cutely interact with the love of his life through your wife’s magic shadow thingy so that I can get enough pictures for the slideshow I’m making for their future wedding, then fine I’m creepy.”
A soft babble from the babe sitting on her father’s lap prevented Druig from remarking on that “fascinating” idea as he peered down to see his four-month-old daughter point a chubby finger to her mother who was lying face-down on the floor as her sister sat on top of their Mami.
“Sorry little dove, Mummy can’t play right now. She’s in mourning.”

The M word (Ajak x F!Reader) part 2
(part 1) (part 3)
____________________
fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck.
It was all you could think about as you ran as fast as your immortal legs would carry you. You didn't even bother to be careful with the relics that adorned the ship (priceless but dispensable), this was a life-or-death situation. You had to get to Ajak before Ikaris and avoid being hunted by Thena.
"Just wait for Makkari to come back!" you heard Kingo's voice behind you, probably having joined Thena in her hunt for you. "You can't escape this, Y/N!"
"Why can't you be a normal family?!" you yelled back, picking up your pace.
You knew the man was right, though. You were lucky to have discovered their plans while Makkari, Gilgamesh, Druig, and Sprite were away because any one of them could have easily stopped your escape.
Although, you had to admit that the whole situation was quite funny, at least you knew that you were accepted in this strange, large but beautiful family and that was something you were grateful for.
All the Eternals treated you with respect and affection, some as a child (Gilgamesh and Phastos), most as a sister, and Ajak...Ajak treated you as if you were the only important thing in the universe. It was a new feeling for you since you had spent too much time alone, but now you couldn't imagine a life without her, and you hoped you would be brave enough to tell her one day.
"Y/N!!"
But today would not be that day!
Thena yelled after you, snapping you out of your thoughts, and you managed to react just in time to dodge one of Kingo's energy balls. You smiled to yourself when you saw Ajak's door down the hall. Unless Makkari appeared out of nowhere, you were almost 100% safe.
"It's just a dress!"
"Over my dead body, Kingo!" you shouted back
"Don't tempt me, Y/N" Thena said and you could hear her smile grow on her beautiful face.
"Ajak!!!" you yelled "Come and control your sister, cousin, daughter, best friend, ex-girlfriend, or whatever the fuck Thena is to you!"
You could hear Kingo's laugh and the blonde's slightly amused grunt, but you didn't have time to think about it much when your girlfriend's door opened just in time to let you in, closing firmly behind you seconds later.
Because of the speed, you couldn't stop in time, so you ended up landing on the bed, rolling and crashing into the wall.
"Y/N! Are you okay?!"
You grunted and rubbed your nose as the woman knelt beside you, her hands ready to heal any scratch, however small, she might find on you.
"I'm fine" you said, letting her check your face "but this is getting out of hand"
"I know," she sighed, feeling a little better when your nose returned to its place "I thought they'd get over it after a while."
"It's been, what? Three months?"
"Five" she corrected you
"Five, and I think it's just given them more motivation" you said
Ajak sighed and leaned back against the bed, closing her eyes for a moment. She felt terribly guilty for dragging you into all this chaos. When the other Eternals started making jokes and teasing her about the M word, she believed that it would stay just an inside joke, something that, while it annoyed her a little, she could live with.
She hadn't expected Kingo and his (quite real, she might add) wedding plans to open a pandora's box in the family. You were surprised when you found out that the others wanted you to marry her, and it had been quite an uncomfortable conversation for her, trying to explain her feelings, and putting them into words, it wasn't her strong point.
But you had been kind, understanding, and joking, something light and not heavy enough to affect your relationship with her or the way you looked at her (something that terrified her), and for that, she was deeply grateful.
That's when things got intense. The others decided that they would not take no for an answer and that they had already been patient enough to wait for you to take that step yourself, so it was up to them to drag you down the aisle.
Ajak knew that none of them harbored bad feelings for you and that they really wanted to see you happy, she also knew that for the Eternals, this kind of thing lacked the weight that humans gave it, and that if it weren't for the long centuries that they had lived alongside humans, adopting customs they didn't fully understand, marriage would not even be considered at this point.
But the thing was, they didn't realize how awkward it could be for you. You were immortal, but not an Eternal, and you had lived among humans all your life, you understood their ways better than any of them could, and you knew what they were asking for. For you it wasn't just another title, it would really mean a change, and she was terrified to think that it could be for the worse.
"Are you ok?" you asked carefully when you noticed how quiet she was
"I just…I’m sorry" she whispered
"What?" you frowned "why?"
"It's my fault this is happening" she said, feeling the tears well up slowly in her eyes.
"Ajak, what are you talking about?"
"I'm the prime eternal, it's my duty to keep everyone in line, I should be able to order them to leave this matter alone...but I can't even make them respect me"
You gasped quietly and moved a little closer to her, putting an arm around her. It was not the first time that your girlfriend confessed to you that she felt powerless in front of the other Eternals, but you had never seen her cry about it.
"Ajak-"
"Arishem should have chosen Thena, not me" she continued "Thena is a warrior, she has the respect of everyone on the ship, she knows how to take care of herself, she is brave, her voice sounds all over the place and the others hear it, even Ikaris, no matter how much he denies it. She should be the leader, not me"
"But she's not" you said "Thena is all of that, yes, but that doesn't mean that you aren't the same or better than her to lead. Arishem chose you for a reason."
"Or by mistake"
It wasn't the first time the older woman had allowed her mind to disagree with Arishem either. Ever since she met you, or perhaps a little before, hints of doubt had begun to flourish in her, making her wonder if her duty was really worth the price the earth had to pay, if she really was strong enough to continue taking that decision, or if she should simply give up, renounce everything and expect punishment for her disobedience. Maybe she was a factory bug and it had just taken her millennia to start bugging.
But you weren't having any of that. You carefully eased yourself into a better position, spreading your legs so that she could fit between them, and gently pushing her until her back rested against your chest. Your hands encircled her waist and you intertwined your fingers with hers.
"You know? Gilgamesh is strong, but I've seen you lift 25 tons without breaking a sweat, Ikaris flies, but I've seen you do it too. Kingo's energy balls? I remember once you decorated the room with them. Phastos is brilliant, but he would have kept himself in his workshop if you weren't listening so intently. Druig and Sprite would have gone crazy if you didn't remind them that they have a family. Makkari is great, and we all try hard to keep up with her, but at the end of the day, it's you who understands her best, who listens to her even if not a sound comes out of her, and don't get me started on Sersi, we both know you're everything she aspires to be, she admires you more than anyone "
Ajak smiled a little to herself as she remembered the sparkle in the girl's eyes every time she stopped to talk to her or urged her to continue exploring her abilities. Of all the Eternals, Sersi felt like a daughter the most, even more than Sprite, and so she did her best to remind her that she saw her, that she was important.
"And Thena" you continued, feeling the woman tense a little "Thena is a warrior, she is beautiful and strong...but she is broken. Her mind is divided, she is not always herself and she can be dangerous, although we all know that she would never hurt us of her own free will. Gilgamesh helps her, but it's always you who brings her back, she needs you, just like the rest of us. Arishem wasn't wrong, he chose you because he knew only you could keep them all together. They're a team, but you're the one who makes them a family."
The woman closed her eyes again, letting more tears roll down her cheeks as a familiar warmth pooled in her stomach, just below where your hands met. She didn't understand how you always managed to make her feel better.
"I don't deserve you" she whispered
"No" you agreed "you deserve more"
It was the woman's turn to frown and she slowly opened her eyes, turning her head slightly so she could look at you. You weren't crying like she was, but there was a deep sadness in your eyes. You chuckled a little at her confusion and squeezed her a little more before resting your chin on her shoulder and concentrating on your hands. You knew that she knew that you were avoiding her gaze, but you couldn't face her while you were having this conversation.
"I know you don't like to talk about how we met in front of others but...it's just us here right?"
She just nodded, squeezing your hand gently for support and to keep you going, whatever you were going to say to her had to be important because you were shaking. You took a deep breath and remembered in great detail the day your life changed, even though it seemed so far away.
“I was broken, lost, I had just hit rock bottom and I wanted to give up" you said "I was cold, hungry, thirsty, and I was about to commit a horrible crime that I would have regretted for all eternity"
The woman closed her eyes, also remembering that moment. She had found you in terrible condition, your clothes were tattered, you were dirty, you had blood and bruises everywhere, and your gaze was empty. You seemed like a ghost more than a living being, and she still had nightmares thinking about what could have happened to you if she didn't arrive on time, despite the fact that she hadn't really been looking for you, nor did she know who you were.
"You stopped me, and I'll always be in your debt for that" you whispered "And I…I thought you'd leave after that, that you'd just walk away from me like the ones who had stopped me before had."
But she wouldn't have been able to. She knew from the moment you looked at her and your eyes sparkled with life again, that she could never leave you. But she didn't say it out loud.
"But you didn't" you continued "you...you saw through my cracks, you looked at me, not at the broken doll, but at the soul beneath all that chaos. And you found something...something worth loving. And I...I've tried to honor that all this time, I've tried to prove that I'm worthy of you, that I'm not going to let you down...I guess that's why it hurt so much when you were so firm and clear in rejecting the idea of marriage
Ajak gasped audibly and pulled away from you carefully but firmly. Her mind, which had been trying to catch up with everything, to assimilate the tender but powerful confession you had made to her, suddenly went completely blank.
"You…you wanted to get married?" she whispered, not sure if she really said it or she just thought it.
You just shrugged, staring at the ground. The woman's warm hands went directly to your cheeks, gently cupping your face, guiding you to force you to look at her. You didn't know how to feel under the intensity of her gaze.
“But you…you acted as if you didn’t”
“I tried to be supportive of your choice” you confessed “besides, it hurt less if I pretended it was a game”
"Why didn’t you tell me?"
"For what?" you asked "anyway, now I know your position in this and my place in your life"
"Y/N, I don't-"
"It's okay" you smiled sadly "I promise I'll keep trying to be better...maybe one day I'll be worthy of you"
"You are already more than I deserve" she said "forgive me, forgive me for not realizing this, how you felt, forgive me for-"
"You don't have to apologize for anything, Ajak" you interrupted her "you had no way of knowing...besides, at least I hope that when you're ready to take that step...it can be with me"
"It will be" she promised "there is no one else I would want to take that step with"
You smiled and pressed your forehead against hers, closing your eyes to enjoy the warmth and the familiar scent coming from the woman. You adored these intimate moments where your soul confirmed that you only belonged to her. Too bad it was in such gray circumstances, and with her tears still falling on you.
"Are you alright?" you asked
"Y-yes, I just..." she sighed "No, I'm not. I'm scared, Y/N"
"Of what?" You frowned at her, gently guiding her until she was straddling you, her hands never leaving your face.
"There's a reason why I rejected the idea" she said "And I promise you it has nothing to do with my love for you, or because I don't consider you worthy. It's me. I'm the one who isn't worthy of you"
"Ajak-"
"I'm afraid of not being enough" she interrupted "I'm afraid that your eyes will lose that sparkle, that one day your gaze will simply pass me by, that you won't look at me like I'm something you want in your life. I'm afraid that things change so much, that we can no longer recognize each other. I'm afraid of losing you because I would lose myself, and the universe would be a terrible and cold void."
"Ajak" you whispered, caressing her cheek "things would change, of course, but they could never change so much that I no longer think of you as the most beautiful star in the sky"
"How are you so sure?"
"Because you loved me when I was fading, and now I know, that not loving you as you deserve, would be failing the entire universe, and that is not a debt I want to accept."
Ajak looked at you for a moment, searching for some trace of doubt in you, but she was only received by the universe in your gaze that she already knew and had fallen in love with. She smiled at you and brought her hands closer to your face so that she could join her lips to yours.
She really hoped she could convey to you in that kiss everything she could never do with words. Eternals were used to changes happening around them, not in them, but now she knew she would do anything if you were by her side, no matter how scared she was.
"I love you" she whispered against your mouth
"I love you too" you smiled
Ajak looked at you for a moment, getting lost in your gaze for a few seconds while her hands played with your hair, before gently biting her lip. You knew she was thinking of something.
"What?" you asked softly
"Nothing"
"Ajak"
"It's just...we're not going to get rid of them" she said softly "so..."
"So?"
"...maybe not tomorrow but...would you consider the idea again?"
You couldn't help but smile before drawing her in for another kiss, a little shorter but more intense than the previous one. Your fingers moved up to her ribs, which earned you a couple of giggles and a gentle push as you pulled away from her.
"Are you sure you're ready to think about the M word?" you asked
"Yes, if it's with you"

Not My Father
Paring: Ikaris x Daughter!Reader, Peter Parker x Reader
Summary: You see your father for the first time in a while and you're not willing to give him what he is asking for.
Warnings: *MAJOR ETERNALS SPOILERS*, angst
Word Count: 1219
A/N: Had to do this. Love me some Peter Parker x Reader with a father figure so this was fun. Also Reader's origin story is ambiguous, so she can be adopted or biologically related if you want. Enjoy! 💕💕💕💕
“Do you need me to drive you to MJ’s house?” Peter asked setting his fork down while glancing at you, a soft admiration filled his eyes.
“No, I don’t want to overstay,” you answered. “I’ll see if Betty can take me,” you pulled out your phone, but you felt a hand stop you.
“You’re more than welcome to stay the night, Y/N,” May said, squeezing your hand lightly as she picked your plate up.
“Thank you, May,” you smiled.
“It’s not a problem at all, you’re always welcome here,” she replied, sending you a warm smile. “Just make sure the door stays open,” she warned before she bid you two good night.
“We will,” Peter responded, reaching for your hand to lead you to the kitchen.
Soon you and Peter were done washing dishes and now you were getting ready for bed.
“So how are things with your dad? Have you heard anything?” your boyfriend asked when you settled under the covers.
“No, he returned to Earth a few days ago,” you said. “Sersi says it’s best he’s keeping his distance,” you shrugged, resting your head on top of his chest.
“Maybe he’s looking for forgiveness,” he rubbed a hand on your arm.
“If he is, then that’s the last thing he’ll be getting from me,” you stated before drifting to sleep.
~~~~~
“Guess what day it is today?” you heard the soothing voice of Ajak fill your ears as she crept over your bed.
“Dad is coming?!” you jumped up, already counting down the days since last week.
“You’re a smart girl, did you know that?” she grinned as she picked you up. “First we need to feed you so you have all the energy when your father gets here,” she seated you at your chair before she set a plate of food before you.
You ate excitingly, Ajak having to stop you from time to time. But your little five-year-old mind assumed the quicker you ate, the sooner your father would arrive.
And as fast as you did- he never showed up.
“I thought he was coming,” you began to tear up, staring at the night sky in hopes of catching a glimpse of him.
“Maybe he thought it was tomorrow,” she kneeled, pulling you into an embrace.
“No! He lied to me, he doesn’t love me,” you cried.
“Y/N, don’t say that, your father loves you very much,” she defended.
“If he loved me he would stay every time,” you sniffled. “Like you do,” you turned around in her arms, shoving your face into her shoulder. “You love me, you’re my dad,” you said firmly, your tiny hands gripping onto her.
“Oh sweetie, I love you with all my heart,” she sighed, tearing up as well.
~~~~~
You stared out of Peter’s bedroom window as you watched the streets of Queens. A pastime you liked to have seen as you lived in the middle of nowhere with Ajak most of your life.
“How’ve you been, Y/N? Last I heard you got a boyfriend,” you heard her smirk into the phone.
“Yeah, Peter is great, just been enjoying the summer before senior year starts,” you shrugged as you moved into the living room. “He and his aunt have been a lot of help,” you smiled as you peered out the window, catching another angle of the street.
“I’m glad to hear that, Y/N,” Sersi said into the phone. “Say, maybe I fly over to Queens and you can show me around, you can meet Dane as well,” she suggested
“I’d love that,” you hummed, genuinely smiling at the thought of that.
Your eyes squinted when you saw a flash of brown hair pass on the other side of the street the same moment a van drove by. You would’ve shrugged it off if it weren’t for the gray streak in their hair.
“I-I have to go, Sersi, but I’ll catch up later,” you said before hanging up, rushing out of the apartment.
~~~~~
“You’re going to live with a close friend of mine for a bit, okay?” Ajak smiled as she helped you pack a bag. “I need to find the others and I need you to be safe,” she said, folding a t-shirt in her lap.
“Why can’t I go with you?” you questioned.
“It isn’t your mission, sweetie, besides you’ll love New York, I haven’t been there in so long,” she smiled at her memories.
“Who am I staying with?” you asked.
“Her name is May and she has a nephew about your age, from pictures he’s your type,” she winked. “I’ll be back to get you okay?” she stood up, cupping your face before kissing the top of your head.
That was the last time you ever saw each other.
~~~~~
Staying behind the corner of the alleyway in front of Peter and May’s apartment, you waited as footsteps approached. You could hear they were in a hurry like they’d been caught and you just knew it was him.
“What are you doing here?” you made yourself known when you came face to face with the man you haven’t seen in a few months.
“Y/N,” his voice was soft as he spoke. “You’re so grown up,” he offered a small smile but you only glared at him.
He hasn’t changed, well obviously. But he was still the same backstabbing father.
“How long have you been following me?” you asked.
“I’m just making sure you’re safe,” he replied, dodging your question. “And to apologize,” he added.
You let out a scoff at the irony. Shutting your eyes in hopes that this was just a game your mind was playing. But when you opened them again, he was standing right there.
“Apology for what? Abandoning me? Killing Ajak? Or turning on your family?” you sneered, each question like a stab in his heart. “You were going to have me killed,” you gritted, shoving a finger in his chest.
“Y/N,” he grabbed your hand but you matched his strength.
“No, let me speak!” you yelled. “You left me when I was just a baby and Ajak was the only one to raise me,” you felt tears prick in your eyes. “You weren’t there when I needed you, you weren’t there,” you cried. “You turned your backs on us, on me, and you expect forgiveness?” you shook your head.
“You have to see where I’m coming from,” he tried again, tightening his hold on your hand.
“I don’t want to hear your stupid explanation,” you pushed away from him. “If you truly wanted to make things right, you wouldn’t have run,” you stared at him about to say something else.
“That was a mistake I made and I’m sorry,” he pleaded.
“I wasn’t done,” you spoke. “The moment you killed the person who loved me like a daughter, that was the moment you fucked up because if you really loved me you wouldn’t have done it,” you mustered out, cheeks stained with tears as you clenched your jaw.
He only stared at you with tears brimming in his eyes. You wanted to feel bad but all you felt was pride.
“You’re nothing but a coward and you’re no longer my father, Ikaris,” you spat, passing him one more look before you walked out of the alleyway.

Artemis - Drukkari
[ Druig x Makkari!daughter ]
Request: Eternals were not meant to birth children, however Makkari and Druig had somehow broken that nature, receiving twins that concepted what humans know today as Artemis and Apollo. In order to prevent the eternals' grief from your brother's death many years later after the disbandment of the eternals, you found a way to erased their memories of the two of you.
Click here for the full request
Author’s note: I know that Ajak only changed her mind about the emergence because of the blip, but let’s pretend she changed her mind a long time ago for the sake of the story.
Warnings: angst, mentions of death
Word Count: 5,285
read the prequel - Artemis and Apollo
read the other prequel - Night Patrol (Peter Parker)
Your mother cupped your face with her hands, giving you an encouraging smile before kissing your forehead. No words had to be exchanged to see the true extent of the exchanged gesture.
'Stay strong’ she signed, the leftovers and fire on the battlefield blurring in the back of your mind as a more overwhelming thought occupied the space in your head.
Your father had just left and the eternals were separating.
771 CE, BABYLON
It was a miracle, really. The birth of you and your twin brother, Apolo, wasn’t supposed to happen. Never had there been eternals who had the ability to procreate life from sexual exchange with another eternal.
Life was more than amazing with the eternals and humans coexisting together, and you and your brother got to spend your childhood growing unlike the rest of the eternals. The two of you grew slower than most, but you weren’t immortal like the rest.
Druig, your telepath father, stood, leaning against one of the trees with a pleased smile, observing as you shot multiple targets within a mere blink of an eye with the golden translucent bow and arrow that appeared whenever you'd needed it.
‘That’s it. You’re getting better.’ Makkari, your mother, signed as she knelt down to your level, embracing your small figure in a tight hug whilst your father approached.
“You know, we both thought you and your brother would inherit our powers. Guess we were both incorrect.” Your father stood with both hands in his pocket, looming down at the two of you with the smile that grew from watching the loving gesture.
"There she is! The birthday girl!" You parted from your mother, glancing back to see Kingo and Sprite approach, Sprite ruffling your hair along the way.
"You grew up so fast. Careful, Sprite. The twins are going to outgrow you soon," Kingo teased, earning himself a shove from the girl beside him.
You ran to the man as he knelt down to embrace you. "You're back."
"Nasty deviants take a while to handle," he replied with a chuckle as your parents stood beside each other, an arm wrapped around your mother as they drank in the sight of their daughter reuniting with one of her favorite uncles.
1521, AZTEC TENOCHTITLAN
"What's going on?" Polo questioned as the two of you took notice of the tense expressions everyone wore and Ajak standing in between Ikaris and your dad as you entered the temple.
You noticed the missing sounds of screaming and gunfire that once echoed in the background, and immediately, you turned your gaze to your father.
"Dad?" His head snapped to yours at the sound of your voice and his angered gaze wavered as he glanced at your eyes brimmed with tears.
He stayed silent, the gold in his eyes never faltering, even when you heard the faint whisper in your head. I'll come back for you someday, my loves. Remember that.
You watched as your father descended down the stairs, and when Ajak dispersed the group, you heard your twin going against it. No words were spoken; no attempts to defend him. You merely stared where you saw your father disappearing into the fog.
I'll come back for you someday.
Yet he never did, and neither did your mother.
MARCH 1771, RUSSIA
"V tom, chto vse?" Asked the man you recognized to be a distant descendant of the man Phastos once called a friend.
"Da. Spasibo," you thanked the man seductively as he gave you the hologram map -- a device way too advanced for a mere human to create -- to the Domo, the current goal you had being the only thing set in your mind.
After your twin brother's death, you had decided that your parents and the rest of the eternals were burdened enough. You were determined more than ever now -- after the grief you'd experience -- to release your parents from the pain his death would cause before they'd find out.
There was no going back. Your power didn’t extend to the point where you could restore memories once they’ve been wiped, and you had to live with the fact that none of them will remember who you are.
Your first targets were the easy ones -- apart from your father --, finally leading you to your mother who, you recently found out, stayed in the Domo.
APRIL 1771, IRAQ
Sand.
Acres of sand covered your vision for the past hour, until the red dot on the hologram map perfectly lined up with the cursor that indicated where you were.
Although you had lived with the eternals for thousands of years, not once have you seen their spaceship, and you started to get wary as you approached the solution on how to get inside the Domo with all the sand covering it.
Your father hadn't been an easy one to get through, but over the past few years back in Babylon, you'd learn to block your thoughts from him, and allow your presence to be undetectable by the telepath.
Your mother however, was quick on her feet. If she sensed you and your footsteps, she'd be confronting you before you could even start to think of an escape.
So here you stood, stubbornly following the trail your mother left on how to get into the Domo through the sand without leaving your trails behind. The spaceship was larger than you’d expected, and at first it took you a while to navigate through the different rooms and hallways, but as you entered the main area, you knew better than to navigate around where the vibration of your footsteps could be heard.
Cats were the first quiet species that you could think of that didn’t acquire too much space to walk around in, so you transformed into exactly that. You just hoped your quiet footsteps were gentle enough to be able to sneak close enough to your mother.
And just as you suspected, she came rushing to the hiding spot you once hid in as she sensed your presence, only to come face to face with the stack of books you hid behind not too long ago.
Your mother ignored the nagging thought in the back of her head that told her that it was only you who could’ve outsmarted her speed, and that you were here. After years of separation, all you wanted was to reach for her, tell her everything, stay with her, but you thought against it and carried on with the spell.
***
The painfully long walk back from the mass amounts of sand on bare feet made you wish you inherited your mother’s super speed. The sun was starting to set and you had to head back before it got dark, but as you saw a person on a horse approaching you, you paused your journey.
"Ajak," you shakily breathed out. "You know."
It wasn't a question but she nodded nevertheless, motioning you to go follow her, and you did, silently trailing behind her. There was no need to erase Ajak’s memories, which was your last target after your mother. She had already grieved the loss of one of the twins and she knew you wouldn’t have wanted her to restore their memories back.
“Come inside,” she offered as you stepped to the porch of the single brown house amongst the field. You hesitantly complied to her request, letting yourself enter the cozy home and take a good look around.
The walls were made out of wood, and to the right of the living room was the kitchen. It was nothing large like the other places you’ve seen Ajak called home, but it was a decent living space. It had almost reminded you of the home you and your twin shared after parting with your parents.
Money was difficult the first few years, but you two quickly grew accustomed to the changing job systems within time, and were able to live various different identities.
“Please, sit.” Ajak motioned to the couch. “Tea?”
“No, thank you.”
It didn’t take long for Ajak to boil some hot water for the tea and return to the couch, sitting beside you.
“I know you’d want me to keep you hidden from them, but when the time comes, they need to remember. They need you, and each other.”
"Then why did she never visit him? Why didn't she come with him in the first place?" was the first question your irrational mind asked. It was your hurt and betrayal that were speaking this time.
“There are some things that you weren't supposed to understand.”
“I’m two thousand and six hundred,” you argued.
“You’re young. You’re eighteen.”
And when Ajak started telling you about Arishem and the celestials, you felt your head start to spin as it attempted to process the newfound information. How were you supposed to respond when you were just told the family you lived with for thousands of years had been living in a lie?
“Ikaris is loyal to Arishem,” you stated.
Ajak wasn’t a fool. She knew Ikaris would still serve Arishem if she were to tell him. And what about the eternals? What would happen when the deviants rise and you’d need to reunite? What would your parents think of the scheme you pulled on them and the rest of the eternals?
As if noticing your distressed thoughts, Ajak took your hands in hers, providing some sort of comfort before softly speaking up towards your obvious contemplation. “It’s better to restore their memories sooner.”
“They can enjoy the years they have left,” you argued.
Were you selfish enough to be unwilling to undo all your hard work in locating each eternal? Were you not ready to face their looks of disappointment when they’d all found out what you did? You weren’t quite sure.
“You’ll give them time to grief before having to discover the truth.”
And yet, even with Ajak’s seemingly more suitable argument for the situation, you still went with yours.
“Makkari.”
Makkari’s eyes widened as she turned around to face the person who had just lightly gripped her shoulders, and before she could stop her, Ajak held the sides of her head with her hands, restoring the memories that were once lost.
She stumbled back in shock of retrieving those memories, gripping the polished stone counter in her room in the Domo.
‘What did you do?’ Makkari signed, gazing at Ajak in horror.
***
“That should be enough, Darret.” The man nodded and brought the stack of freshly cut wood towards one of the stands.
“You’re not supposed to be here, Ajak,” Druig calmly stated as he sensed Ajak nonchalantly walking towards him from behind.
“Lovely place,” Ajak mentioned, eyes darting to look around the rainforest village.
“What do you want?” Druig questioned as Ajak took steps forward, nearing until they were only a foot away. His gaze on her didn’t waver as she looked him in the eye, neither did he attempt to step back in order to keep the distance between him and Ajak.
“Oh, Druig,” she sighed, placing her hands on either side of his head before he could have any further objections.
Hundreds and thousands of lost memories filled his mind in a few seconds as Ajak’s hands, along with his eyes, glowed gold. He staggered back and took harsh breaths as the glow started to fade and his senses filled with the reality of the rainforest surrounding them.
“He had a good heart,” Ajak said, smiling dolefully at Druig who had now managed to stand properly again. “And she had always been a bright kid.”
As if realizing how this had all occurred, his eyes held sorrow in them as he stated, “He’s dead.”
Ajak nodded, confirming his speculation before suggesting that they head inside.
“What about Makkari? And the others?”
“She erased their memories as well, but I’ve restored them. You were my last stop,” she lied. Ikaris was her last stop. She feared that if she were to visit Ikaris first, she wouldn’t have been able to retrieve Druig’s memories. And she had been right.
“Why would you? Restore our memories, I mean.”
“You needed to know,” Ajak answered and Druig held no suspicions, the more disturbing thoughts drowning any other rational thoughts in his mind.
He had forgotten you and your brother’s existence for 253 years. All the eternals had. And now his son is dead.
THE PRESENT (2024)
“Come on, buddy,” you bid, earning the attention of your dog who complied and strutted back inside the house.
“Are you sure?”
“Certain. I love dogs,” a friend of yours replied.
With the deviant attacks you’d witness through the television, it was beyond doubt that Ajak had restored everyone’s memories by now and they’d possibly go looking for you. So here you were, making sure your absolute love and best friend, your dog, was safe with one of your neighbors.
“We’re gonna have lots of fun, aren’t we?” Your friend cooed as she walked towards your front door.
“Thanks a lot. I needed this.”
“No problem, he’s in good hands,” she shrugged you off, opening the door only to look slightly surprised before calling out to you. “You have visitors!”
Right now? No, this is too soon, you thought as you hesitantly brought yourself from the kitchen to the front door. And there they were. The rare, foreign sight of Ikaris and Sersi waving vaguely at you from your driveway.
You were nowhere near ready to meet your parents again. What would you say? Would it be awkward? Of course it would.
“Come on, Alfee. I’ll make sure you’re well fed until your owner is back,” your cheerful neighbor said before waving goodbye and walking past Ikaris and Sersi, but not before giving them a smile.
“I see you got a dog,” Ikaris smiled, the three of you approaching each other.
“Come in,” you said, and they did, the three of you piling up on your couch.
“I’m sorry,” Sersi spoke first after the excruciating silence, laying a hand on your shoulder. You nodded, getting right to the point.
“So the deviants are back? How did you remember?”
“Yes, and that’s not all. Ajak is dead,” Ikaris stated and was quickly interrupted by Sersi. “She came a few days ago to retrieve our memories before a deviant killed her.”
You nodded as she explained about the emergence, and fortunately, you didn’t have to feign shock nor sadness. Ajak’s death was news to you as well. It was when you locked eyes with Ikaris you knew, and it looked like he knew you figured it out as well.
“We need you,” Ikaris said, the sharp look he gave with his eyes kept its gaze on you, as if threatening you to keep your mouth shut.
Needless to say, the trip to fetch the rest of the eternals was the least bit enjoyable to you when you had crucial information that you kept hidden from them. But you were thrilled to see Kingo anyways. He kept rambling excitedly about how much you’ve grown over the past few years. You remembered how much fun you’d have with him as a child, and when you’d visited Thena and Gilgamesh, they had welcomed you with warm arms -- although Thena wasn’t so welcoming at first, yet you understood her memories were just jumbled up.
Ikaris seemed friendly and started conversations with you whenever you were with the group, however he’d become distant when you two were alone, which rarely happened since you were mostly with Thena or Sersi, sometimes Sprite as well.
Although you were content to see the eternals after years, you dreaded the thought of meeting your father as you journeyed to his rainforest village.
The villagers busied themselves with tasks as you entered the area. When Sprite attempted to ask one of them where your father was, his eyes glowed, and at that moment, you wished you could go back to London where Alfee was and forget about all this.
“Hello, Sprite.”
Your father emerged not long after and you tried not to draw attention to you, in hopes he wouldn’t notice, but you’d be naive to think he hadn’t sensed your presence already.
You locked eyes with the man you once looked up to. The hostile facade he had suddenly crumpled as guilt and sorrow flooded his eyes. He was hurt and you could tell. Your father wasn’t over Apolo’s death, and how could he when you’d only given him a few days to grief before barging into his home with the family he left behind?
Silence. Not in the current room where you all sat, discussing how to stop the emergence, but silence between you and your father.
You flinched as Karun threw his camera, or rather, your father threw his camera. You hadn’t said a word since the moment you arrived, and you continued to observe silently as he stormed out of the building after childishly taunting Ikaris.
“Druig sucks.”
“He does, sir.”
You snorted at their comment, earning looks from everyone else in the room. It was the first sound you’ve made ever since arriving, and they certainly didn’t expect it to be laughter from the tension floating around in the air.
You continued laughing as you got up and left the building, not sure anymore whether you’re truly laughing or just laughing out of bitterness. You hadn’t realized tears were flowing until you noticed the looks the villagers gave you as you passed by their homes.
Nevertheless, you ignored their stares and continued walking to wherever you could find yourself at peace. It took about five minutes until you heard the sound of gushing water coming from the waterfall that lay in front of you.
You missed them, the family you once had. You missed your brother. You missed your parents. You missed Ajak. But most of all, you missed the bond you all had centuries ago, even if you were living a lie.
Dwelling on the past had become a natural instinct by now. Whenever you’d feel truly alone is when you’d miss your family, and that feeling frequently came back after your brother’s death.
You didn’t even care about the sun that had already set not too long ago. It was only when you heard screams and beastly noises when you were brought back to reality.
And reality really hit you like a ton of bricks when you failed to puncture your arrow through the deviant that attacked Gilgamesh. Although you had the help of your arrows, along with Ikaris, the deviant managed to escape, leaving you with the aftermath of the battle where Thena held Gilgamesh on the ground.
If you could have just come a second earlier, you probably wouldn’t be standing here in Gilgamesh’s passing ceremony. You wouldn’t be watching Thena consumed by her built up grief as she held Gilgamesh’s ashes in her hands.
“It wasn’t your fault. You came as fast as you could,” your father spoke his very first words to you after years. You didn’t return his gaze, and instead walked away.
***
Now that your father accompanied you, the rest of the journey became even more uncomfortable. And what made it worse was that you were about to face your mother.
“What has she done? Isn’t that-?” Phastos was in utter disbelief.
Your mother looked up with a smile as she saw the eternals, but it soon dropped when her gaze landed on you. What you didn’t expect was for her to come rushing with her superspeed to embrace you in a tight hug.
Your longing told you to hug back, but your mind told you to pull away. And so you sternly pushed her away before storming out the room out of the feeling of betrayal and hurt. Hurt that she never came back for you, even though Ajak restored her memories.
You walked around the corridors and hallways, trying to navigate through the place for a few minutes before giving up and slumping down against a wall. The overwhelming urge to just run back and embrace your parents was tempting, but your stubbornness got the best of you.
Blinking back the tears that threatened to escape, you leaned your head back against the wall as you sat on the floor, bringing your knees up to your chest.
It took longer than you had expected for your mother to find you slumped on the floor, looking at the ceiling. Your guess was that your father held her back when she was about to rush out for you, asking her to give you time to yourself for a bit.
She sat next to you, letting the silence fill in for a few seconds before you turned to look at her.
“Why didn’t you come back for us? Why didn’t you come back for me after you found out? Dad promised.”
‘We wanted to give you two your space. We never wanted you to have to choose between us,’ she signed.
“Then we all could’ve joined him.” Your mother frowned, thinking of her next words carefully.
‘Your father needed time for himself. I let him go. With his overwhelmed thoughts back in the tenochtitlan, I wasn’t sure if bringing you and Apolo with him was a good idea.’
When you stayed silent, your mother knew her answer didn’t cut it, but it was the truth.
‘I’m sorry I never visited you,’ she signed, bringing a hand to your cheek to wipe the single tear that had fallen from her confession. ‘After Ajak told me, I wanted nothing more than to visit you and your father. But I knew trying to bring us back together would just make it worse.’
That was all your mother needed to explain, so she continued, ‘The humans call you Artemis. They used to see us as gods. But even the gods were described to be selfish and made many mistakes.’
You already knew the meaning behind the comment she added. She had forgiven your father long ago. In fact, she felt as if there was nothing to forgive. And now it was your turn.
When more tears started to fall, you finally let loose, the stubborn angry part of you long forgotten. You let her hold you, finally feeling at peace even if it was just for a while. The built up tension inside of you towards your mother was finally released.
You missed her, you missed both of them, you wanted to say, but the words never ended up leaving your mouth as she let your tears fall onto her shoulder. Five hundred years may not seem like a long time for someone who could live thousands of years, but it was just as painfully long as if you were human.
As you finally pulled away and wiped your tears as you smiled at her, you noticed your father standing with that sorrowful look, observing the scene that had just unfold in front of him. Without hesitation, you got up and ran towards him where he accepted you in his arms.
“I’m sorry,” you mumbled between sobs, repeating the same words over and over again even after your father had assured you that it was him who needed to apologize for the mess he caused.
“I’m so sorry.”
***
“Why don’t we turn Tiamut into an ant?” Sprite’s question from not too long ago lingered in your mind.
“You can do that, right?” Her gaze had landed on you and you shrugged, anxious from the now many eyes that had been on you.
“Putting Tiamut to sleep is the safest option,” Phastos argued.
After you told your parents about Ikaris’ betrayal, it wasn’t long after he revealed that he hated the plan to stop Tiamut, and with the help of your dad, the rest of the eternals managed to find out Ajak’s true cause of death.
“I warned you to keep your mouth shut,” Ikaris had threatened you the minute everyone else knew, causing your father to instinctively step in front of you and defend you.
And here you were, just the six of you, plotting on how to stop Tiamut now that the Uni-mind isn’t an option thanks to Ikaris.
Or so you thought, until Phastos suddenly gasped, startling most who were in the room with him.
"I figured it out!" He took your mother's hands in his and shook them out of happiness, before rushing to go find Sersi who was currently being consulted by Thena.
As soon as the inventor left, your father stood from his seat, walking towards your mom and wrapped his arms around her from behind.
"Don't do that," you squealed in disgust as he started throwing flirty, suggestive comments.
'Did you forget that your child is in the room?' she signed, earning your grateful stare even though she was enjoying this.
"I guess we'll have to take this somewhere else."
"I didn't need to hear that," you groaned, rushing out before they could say anything else.
Apparently, even with the tense mellow air that lingered because of your brother's death, five hundred years apart made their interactions even more… explicit, and you weren't going to stick around for that, although you knew they were just teasing you.
So you joined Phastos as he finally finished the Uni-mind, standing beside Sersi who looked at his invention in awe.
Not long after, you heard the gush of wind as your mother joined in, your father following behind her, when Phastos converted the Uni-mind to bracelets
"Let's go suit up," he said, twirling the bracelet between his fingers, tossing one to each person in the room, including you.
"I'm not an eternal."
"You're just as strong as any of us. We need you," Sersi replied, and you nodded.
***
"Thena, play nice," Ikaris warned as you observed from above, arrow lock on him the entire time.
"You never had to fight me."
"But I've always wanted to." And when she struggled to fight him, you released your arrow, going through his shoulder and alerting him of your presence in the room.
He was about to attack you, when the Uni-mind started connecting Thena to the rest, forcing Ikaris to retreat and go for the other three eternals instead.
You jumped down from your hiding spot, transforming into a chimera in the process and lunging at Ikaris in the air.
The weight of your force distracted him from his goal, but he easily brushed you off as he flew faster towards his target.
And so you went with your arrow as the better method, shifting back to human as you land on the ground, and quickly releasing your arrow.
It merely brushed his leg, but you had to give yourself credit for hitting any part of him at all since he was a quick, moving, flying target.
But when he attacked your father, you quickly ran towards them.
"I should've done this five centuries ago!" You heard him shout and the next thing you know, he was blasting him before destroying the Domo.
Your heart stopped the moment you saw the dent he left where he had attacked your father. You just got him back. You couldn’t lose him again.
Out of rage, you pounced on him in the air, attacking with whatever weapon your bow could be used for in such a short distance. He brought you higher up into the air where you wouldn't manage to survive if you'd dropped down from this height as a human.
The two of you struggled for a while, before he managed to slam you down onto the rocks by the beach, causing your mother who had just witnessed the fight to cry out to you.
You barely heard her scream, but it was already painful enough at it was; to look at her in such distress. Everything hurt. Your body felt weak and limp, but it wasn’t enough to injure you too much. It was nothing like what Ikaris had just done to your father.
Through hooded eyes, you saw her rush to bring the others to safety as Ikaris appeared before them.
"Druig's gone. It's over." The newfound rage that filled her face before she sped towards him almost terrified you. And the next thing you knew, they were gone in a blink of an eye.
As soon as you managed to get up, you ran along behind where Thena and Phastos had just gone, slower than usual from the pain your back felt.
Horror quickly flooded you as you saw the deviant you let escape in your father’s village grab your mother and attach its tentacles to her, just as it did to Gilgamesh.
"Mom!" Without hesitation you launched an arrow straight through the deviant who was absorbing your mother’s powers, and your eyes widened as it quickly healed itself.
Deviants usually never manage to make it out alive once you struck your arrow straight through its chest, but apparently, this one had gotten a lot stronger than you thought it would.
Luckily, Thena was there to chase after it when it ran, and Phastos was there to restrain Ikaris so you could help your mother.
“Are you okay?” You signed, helping her up.
‘Yes. You?’
“I’m fi-'' As you were about to respond, you felt the ground rumble as Tiamut’s large golden fingers started to appear around the island you were on. To add to the list of everything going wrong today, the force it took Ikaris to break free from his restraint knocked both you and your mother down.
“We need to help her.”
‘No, look.’ Your mother pointed towards the glowing figures from above, and soon enough, the Uni-mind attached you as well, freezing Tiamut. But you also saw the figure that flew not long after, higher and higher, your eyes following Ikaris until you couldn’t see him anymore.
‘He’s gone.’ She signed as she looked to your line of sight, wrapping an arm around your shoulder for comfort.
After the rush of events that had happened the past few days, you definitely needed this. You weren’t even sure whether your father was alive after Ikaris had attacked him, and the thought made you wary for a moment. That was, until your mother nudged you, signaling you to turn around where you saw your father approaching.
She let the arm that held you slip, walking towards your father and embracing him before leaning her forehead to his. It was a gesture she often shared with you and your father when you were younger.
You couldn’t even begin to explain how relieved you were that he was alive, but then again, you never underestimated him. He had been your inspiration; the one you looked up to when you were little, and would always be.
No words required to be exchanged as you ran towards him, engulfing him in a tight hug after your mother had pulled away. She watched the two of you with a smile, tears brimming her eyes as she drank in the sight.
“I’m okay,” he chuckled, releasing you and dragging you along with him by your shoulder towards the others.
Standing next to both your parents was something you longed for these past few centuries, though you couldn’t seem to grasp the thought after the separation and your brother’s death.
Yet here you were, drinking in the sight and aftermath of putting a stop to the emergence.
You didn’t know what might happen next, or what consequences may bring towards your actions, but what you did know was that from now on, as long as you’re still breathing, you were going to stay and fight for the family you were given.
Your powers: shapeshifting into animals, turning others into animals, wielding and creating a bow and arrow (like how Thena creates her weapons out of thin air)
150 years is equivalent to a one years old (in terms of maturity and physical growth).
879 BC: you and your twin brother were born
771 CE: 1,650 years old (11)
1521: 2,400 years old (16)
1771: 2,650 years old (18)

hi! maybe druig x eternal reader. the reader is essentially the most powerful witch/ mage who is skilled in all types and forms of magic ( especially chaos, dark and the type of magic strange does ). she may also have strong telepathic and telekinetic ( like jean grey ) powers and powers similar to sersi.
she and druig have a tumultous relationship that in 2007 leads to the conception of a daughter, whom he doesn’t know about and doesn’t meet her until the eternals reunite.
whilst her young daughter is growing up, she becomes incredibly powerful. she and ikaris somehow reunite when their daughter is young and he becomes her godfather or sort of a father figure to her and jokingly calls him dad.
they come for the reader, the last eternal they have to pick up but are met with and empty house with an invisible border ( maybe like westview border ) that only reader and the daughter can get through/open. the eternals shout for the reader but are not answered, as she is at work. then ikaris has the great idea of shouting the daughter’s name, and the eternals are like who tf is ( ex. calista or whatever name you choose ). the daughter, in a preppy school uniform and their pet dog are meet with the eternals unsuccessfully trying to get through her mothers’ magic and sort of makes fun of them and lets them in and tells them that her mom has an important case or whatever. then reader comes home and is just again like “wtf?
when the eternals reunite, druig is shocked to find out that his beloved somehow had a child. he thinks his now teenaged daughter is ikaris’ child and gets sort of moody and depressed. he confronts reader about it and he tells her that ikaris is an old flame and that there’s nothing going between them.
maybe angst, comedy, slight fluff please? thank you
Secret || Druig
Pairing : druig x reader; ikaris x platonic!reader
Genre : angst, slight fluff
Warning : none
Requested by : anon
A/N : thank you so much for requesting this. i’m living for the drama between druig, ikaris, and the reader *evil laughs*. anyways, enjoy!!
If you had to be honest, living as a mortal in this world was exhausting. It turned out, work wasn’t very friendly and sometimes you wanted to slump down the couch and drink wine once you got home, but you were a mom and you had to take care of your teenage daughter.
It happened every day, making you get used to the feeling. However, that day was more exhausting than the others. You sighed once you reached your home, ready to greet your daughter, but instead, you were met with something which added to the list of your problems.
You looked back and forth between each Eternals with your jaw dropped. You were speechless and surprised at their sudden visit.
“Mom, are you alright?” Your daughter asked with puzzled future.
“What are you doing here?” You ignored her question, but you both knew that she knew the answer.
“We’re here to pick you up.” Ikaris replied with his best smile, trying to make the situation less awkward.
Ajak sighed before she said, “Y/N, there’s another Deviant-“
“Honey, can you go upstairs and do your homework?” You asked sweetly towards your daughter.
She nodded - understanding what you actually meant - before she jogged upstairs and once she was out of sight, the sound of the door opening closing could be heard.
You nodded at Ajak, letting her know that she could continue, “There’s another Deviant attack.”
“You’re the last Eternal to complete the group.” Kingo joined the conversation.
“I-I’m sorry.” You shook your head. “I can’t. I have a job, a daughter to take care of, and some other things.”
“But this is important.” Sprite said. “The world needs us.”
“We don’t have much time, Y/N. One week is all we have.” Phastos chimed in.
“Then you go. I’ll stay.” You looked down to avoid eye contacts with them. “I can’t leave my daughter.”
“Ask your neighbor to look after her. It’s only a few days. I’m sure the neighbor wouldn’t mind.” Kingo rolled his eyes.
“I hate to say this, but Kingo’s right.” Makkari signed.
“Your daughter’s old enough to be able to take care of herself.” Ikaris stood in front of you, giving you a sympathetic look. “You need to stop treating her like a baby.”
“You know I hate it when you remind me of that.”
“You know I’m right.”
Druig scoffed at the sight in front of him. “She wants to be left behind, then let’s leave.”
The smile that was once on your lips, fell into a frown after hearing those words. Ikaris seemed to notice that because he immediately grabbed your hand and squished it.
Ikaris sent you a look as a sign for you to talk to Druig about the secret. You somehow knew what he was thinking and let go of his hand.
You took a deep breath before finally facing Druig for the first time in years. “Before we leave, Druig, can we talk?”
“Sure, what is it about? Ikaris and you somehow married to each other while I’m gone?”
“In private?” You gestured towards the guest room.
Druig nodded before following you into the room. You closed the door once you both were inside. A sigh left your lips as you turned to face him.
Druig seemed uninterested. His face showed no expression, but his eyes told something else.
“I have something to tell you.” You started. “There’s something that I’ve been keeping from you-“
“If it’s about you and Ikaris, I don’t want to hear it.”
“It’s not-“
“Because it seems like you’re both happy with each other.” Druig scoffed. “You didn’t even bother to tell us about the child!”
“You left!” You mimicked his voice, but instantly regretting your choice. “You left, Druig.”
“And what does that supposed to do with the others?” You stayed silent, but your eyes told everything. Druig paused to look at you - puzzled - before his eyes suddenly grew wide in realization. “You’re bluffing.”
“Druig-“
“No.” He shook his head. “You can’t be serious.”
“Do I look like I’m joking?” You raised your eyebrows.
“Does she know?” You closed your mouth instantly as you looked down in shame. “Please don’t tell me she doesn’t know.”
“How am I supposed to tell her?” You paused. “That her father left her before she was even born? That her father doesn’t know she existed?”
“You could tell her the truth.” Druig said. “I hate to tell you this, but I have to agree with Ikaris. You need to stop treating her like a baby.”
You clenched your jaw to hold yourself from talking because you knew he was right.
“She called Ikaris her dad, does she think Ikaris is her father?” Druig asked.
“She knows Ikaris is not her father. She called him that because he has been a father figure to her since she was a baby.” You explained. “I’m sorry. I never meant for this to happen.”
“Sorry!?” Druig snapped. “You took the time I could have with my daughter who I didn’t know she existed until now.”
“Maybe you shouldn’t have left in the first place.” You said. “That way things would have been easier.”
Druig stayed silent for a few seconds before he spoke up. This time his voice was much softer than the previous one. “I guess we both are to be blamed in this situation.”
You knew that it was hard for him to say that and you appreciated it that he admitted.
The room was silent for a few moments before one of you decided to talk. “Do you want to meet her?”
Druig looked up, his eyes were wide and you swore you could see excitement in them. “Your daughter.”
“Of course.” Druig nodded as you smiled at his respond.

Fly Baby
Pairing: Ikaris x Reader, Dad!Ikaris
Summary: Ikaris takes his daughter flying for the first time, giving you a mild heart attack in the process.
Word Count: 1.3k
Warnings: None, just fluff
A/N: This combines both the fairy and dilf vibes that Ikaris simultaneously exudes IMO
It was a gorgeous September afternoon, the sun shining down. The warmest it might be before the cooler fall temperatures arrive in the coming weeks.
A red and white picnic blanket laid out across the grass, half a football field away from our home. Out in the open land our English countryside acreage offered, miles from the nearest main roads.
Secluded, in our own peace of heaven.
“Love! Look at this” I heard my husband call out to me.
I turned my head upwards and couldn’t hold back my instincts, “OH MY GOD, IKARIS!”
I was up on my feet immediately, running over to where I thought my husband was simply dancing through the meadow with our three year old daughter, Penelope.
Where they occasionally stopped so she could pick the wildflowers and attempt to stick them in her father’s hair.
It was to my utmost surprise to find him floating above the air, holding Penelope up under her belly, so she could assume a position as if she was soaring through the air.
Just like her father, I internally grumbled to myself.
“Ikaris, what on earth do you think you’re doing with our daughter right now!” I shout up at him, hands on my hips to assume the typical disappointed mom look.
Ikaris smiled down at me, “look Love, she loves it! She’s like a mini me!”
I rolled my eyes and scoffed, “yeah because the curly brown hair and blue eyes sure wasn’t cutting it”.
Before Ikaris could get out a rebuttal, the little girl interrupted him, tearing his gaze back to his princess.
“Mummy look! I’m like a fairy! I can see everything from up here” Penelope squealed out, the biggest of smiles on her face.
I couldn’t deny how my heart fluttered seeing my baby so happy. And even more so knowing it was my beautiful husband eliciting that smile and those giggles.
I reminded myself what brought me to my feet in the first place.
“Ikaris, I thought I told you I wanted a helmet on her the first time you flew with her,” I reminded him of our previous conversations, with a pointed look in his direction.
He looked back down toward me, “Love look, I am completely secure in holding her, and I’m only a few feet off the ground. There is nothing to worry about” he attempted to assure me.
Before I could reply he cheekily added, “you should know how sturdy my hands are, how good my finger reflexes are” he finished with a wink.
I exhaled, “you should know by now Ikaris, it’s my job as her mother to worry about my baby’s safety at all times” I told him, a frown now appearing on my face.
That caused him to pause his movements.
Ikaris lowered himself back down to the ground. Lowering our daughter from above his head, to his hip.
He looked down at his princess and he whispered, “can you go to the blanket for a minute Lovie, while I talk to mummy?”
Penelope, with the determination she gets from her father, looked up at him to plead, “but I want to fly more daddy! Pretty please!”
She ended with that look she knows is the key to melting her fathers heart. Big blue eyes peering up at him, and the slightest wobble to her lip. The key to getting anything she wanted from him.
Ikaris' heart tugged at him to give in to her wishes, but he knew he needed to assure his wife first.
“How about we just take a little break for some snacks! I think mummy packed some of those candies you like so much, why don’t you go try and find one in the basket?” He attempted to persuade Penelope.
His suggestion was luckily well received by the little girl, eager for a sweet. She was quickly clambering out of her fathers arms to be set on the ground so she could run past her mother to the blanket.
Ikaris slowly walked up to his wife, wrapping his arms around her to pull her in close. He leaned down to press a couple of kisses in the crook of her neck, before standing back up to catch her gaze.
He brought one of his hands up to cup her cheek as he said, “you know I would never do anything to intentionally endanger our daughter, or any of our children for that matter”.
I sighed, “I know that Ikaris”, I paused to take a breath, “it just took me by surprise is all. But also, I do think she should be wearing a helmet, which you agreed to” I finished pointing a finger at him to remind him of his promise.
It was his turn to sigh now, and nod his head in acknowledgement, “okay yes Love, you’re right”.
I’m always right I wanted to add
He continued, “I did promise I would do that and I also should have asked if you were comfortable with me flying with her for the first time. For that, I do apologize, my love”.
He had apologized and acknowledged his error, and I knew he had the best of intentions with our daughter all along. He just wanted to see her be happy.
I of course couldn’t remain upset with him after that.
“Okay,” I conceded, “you can carry on with your flying then.. with a helmet” I added.
“With a helmet of course Love, safety first” he nodded with a wink in confirmation.
Just then our moment between us was interrupted by the sound of our youngest letting out a loud cry, followed by Penelope calling out to me, “mummy! Peter is awake and won’t stop crying”.
Ikaris grabbed my hand in his and we proceeded over to the blanket.
“Did you find the sweets lovie?” He asked his daughter, walking over to her, while I proceeded over to the bassinet to pick up our four month old son, Peter.
“Yes daddy, I did!” She jumped up towards him and he caught her in his arms.
I looked over at them as Peter settled down his crying now that he rested in his mothers arms.
Ikaris let out a laugh looking down at Penelope, “Are you sure you actually ate any of it? There is chocolate all over your face lovie” he pointed out as he tried to wipe it off her cheek with his thumb.
Giggles erupted from the little girl as she attempted to assure her dad she did in fact eat some of it, while her father also now tickled at her belly to elicit more of that glorious sound.
I looked down at Peter, who was also enthralled looking over at his sister and father due to the noise of the laughter they both emitted, but still too young to understand so his face remained impassive yet slightly confused.
Just then, Ikaris appeared beside me, leaning down to give me a kiss before leaning out foreheads together and saying, “thank you for giving me this life, Love. I am eternally grateful”.
And before I could even reply, Penelope was tugging at her father to go back to their flying.
With a quick kiss to my forehead, and one down to Peter’s with a quick whisper of “I love you little man”, he was off running hand in hand with Penelope.
“We gotta go to the garage first to grab your helmet lovie,” he informed his daughter. To which she nodded an okay, before they continued on their way, now racing each other towards the garage.
As I looked on at them holding our now sleepy son, I couldn’t help but whisper to myself , “I’m eternally grateful too”.

I found love right in front of me
Word count: 1.220 Pairing: Druig x Eternal!Reader Warnings: Tooth-rotting fluff. Family dynamics. A little bit of angst at the end. Summary: The day was going perfectly fine, but then Druig mentions that the Eternals are coming and you worry for your secret. A/N: Hey, anon. Sorry it took so long to come out. Inspiration came only after listening to the song "I found" by Amber Run.
Request: may i request a druig x eternal reader fic where they have a secret teen daughter? thank you.
If anyone had asked you about what you expected of life on Earth seven thousand years ago when you landed here, you surely wouldn’t expect to be married, to live in the middle of a forest surrounded by peace with your husband and teenage daughter.
Okay, the daughter part was kind of recent, something that happened like fifteen years ago. You didn’t even know that it was possible for an Eternal to get pregnant, but the only other couple of Eternals that you knew to have a relationship were Sersi and Ikaris, and since it’s been centuries since you had seen the others you had no one to ask about it.
So you and Druig just decided to keep life going without looking for further explanations. It happened, and they were happy with the most wonderful daughter they could’ve asked for. You have a good life. An amazing life, actually. You couldn’t ask for anything more.
You look outside the window to see the sun is setting and the moon could already be seen in the sky. Birds fly back to their nests and the sound of wind against tall trees is an indication that soon it will be dark. You stand up, deciding to go after your daughter for dinner.
Family dinners are something that you value a lot, and always make sure that everyone is there. You greet some workers, heading to their home after a long day, on the way. Then, you ask a few ladies if they’ve seen your daughter after she had left school. You chat with them a little longer before you head to the place where they indicated they had seen her.
Living in the middle of a forest means you’re surrounded by the beauty of nature every day, but you have to admit that you couldn’t get over the beauty of the sunset lights hitting the waterfall and creating a gorgeous rainbow. You listen to loud laughter as you approach before you see the group of teenagers, clothes wet, dripping water from head to toes. You couldn’t blame them when you used to do the same when you came here.
You see Druig watching them playing, arms crossed on his chest. He sensed your presence as you approached him, he smiled at you, opening his arms to pull you close. His hand rubs the cold skin of your arm up and down.
“Remember when we used to do that too?” You look at him.
“Uh-huh,” Druig rests his chin on the top of your head, pressed against his chest.
You watch the teenagers playing a little longer before they start to disperse as it gets darker. There are some dangerous animals that come out of their hidden places in the woods to hunt during the night. Also, snakes are common next to the water, so it’s never a good idea to stay over without an appropriate source of light.
You feel Druig stirs when a boy from your daughter’s class approaches to help her pick her stuff. You smirk, teasingly. Your little girl is really growing up, you think, as she and the boy chat with each other.
“She’s already 15, you know,” you say, looking up at your husband whose face seems more serious than before.
“She’s always going to be my little girl,” Druig shrugs.
“Well, she’s a teenager, so you better get used to seeing her flirting,” you comment. Druig sighs.
“I know. She’s still young, though,” he replies, and you tiptoe to kiss him.
It's a short, lovely kiss before the teenagers reach you. Your daughter takes the stuff from the boy's hands, blushing lightly, she smiles and thanks to him for the help. The boy greets you and Druig with a nod before he follows back to the compound with the other teenagers.
“So…” you extend the pronunciation of the word. “Are you hungry?”
“Yes, I’m starving,” the girl says, looking tired. Druig intertwines your hands while resting an arm around your daughter.
“You need a shower first. You’re stinky,” Druig says, poking her wet clothes, as the daughter of two Eternals, she couldn’t get sick either.
“Dad!”
You smile.
“You are. Honey, don’t worry, the animals won’t get close to us. We have a stinky possum here to push them away from us,” Druig smiles, and you can’t help but laugh. Your daughter sighs, but the tug in the corner of her lips indicates that she’s not upset.
“There aren’t possums in the Amazon,” the girl replies, know-it-all.
“There aren’t?” Druig speaks in faux-surprise. “Then, why are you smelling?” The girl laughs, rolling her eyes.
You step joyfully into the warmth of your home. This small place that you’ve grown fond of. The house is just like the other in the compound, but it feels unique with the belongings and pictures of your family hanging from the walls.
“Go take a shower. We will lay the table,” Druig says, smiling playfully as the teenager heads straight to the bathroom.
Druig goes to the kitchen as you take off the amount of stuff you on the table during the day. Books, wool yarn, needles, and the apples and oranges Druig brought in this morning. The fresh and organic fruits smell amazing. Druig comes back, setting the plates and the cutlery before he goes back and brings the glass. You enter the kitchen after him.
“You know, we will be having a lot of lads asking to date her by summer,” your smile widened.
“Oh, please. I don’t want to acknowledge it. Not yet,” Druig groans. “Where are the glasses?”
“First cupboard. The second shelf,” you say. Druig gets them and sets them on the table carefully before he comes back to help you with the food.
He leans against the counter, getting one of the apples you had put aside and biting it. You could see some tension on his shoulders. You frown.
“What’s wrong? Is it because of–” You start saying, but he cuts you off, probably seeing where your thoughts were heading in your mind.
“No. No,” Druig shakes his head. You come closer and he brushes your cheek. “Ajak is coming. Her letter got here this morning.”
The crease deepens between your brows, you narrow your lips.
“Why?” It’s all that comes out of your mouth.
“Apparently, Ikaris spotted a group of three Deviants on the North,” Druig says.
“But we killed all of them,” you argue.
“We thought so until now.”
“When will she be here?” You ask, wanting to be ready to face your former leader and– “What about her?” Druig follows the direction of your eyes to the corridor.
“We tell her the truth,” he shrugs. “We tell her that she’s our daughter. Our biological daughter.”
You nod, though you can’t help the concern apparent in your features.
“Honey, we knew they would find out one day. It’s time for her to meet the rest of the family,” Druig assures you.
“Yeah, you’re right,” you try to sync your breath with him, calming down.
It’s not like the other Eternals can’t take your daughter away. Sure, they will be shocked and there will be questions. But everything will be fine. You believe in this promise. You and Druig built a beautiful life together, and no one could take that from you.

𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲 || feel free to make requests, I try to get them out as fast as I can, and if you guys wanna be tagged in any fics for specific characters I write for, I can add you to tag lists 🤍
𝗶 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗱, 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘄𝗮𝘆
You were an eternal, you and your team had been sent to earth to protect humans from the deviants, each member having a specific set of abilities, you ability was spontaneous creation, you could create pretty much every and anything your heart desired. You loved your team, treating them like your family, obviously some of them *cough ikaris *cough got on your nerves, and you didn't always see eye to eye but you loved them.
There was one eternal you loved more than the others, someone you would do anything for, druig. You and the man had a very flirty relationship, before you had even gotten together you were inseparable, so in love that seeing the two of you happy, is what allowed sersi to give ikaris a chance, the two of you were so in love that the humans, created the idea of soulmates because of the love they saw the two of you displayed.
So needless to say when the team split up, you were understandably heartbroken. You had tried to convince druig to stay for you, stay with the woman he loved, you even offered to go with him, and for a second you almost thought it had worked, until he told you that he couldn't take you away from your family. Stating that as much as he wanted to be selfish, he just couldn't let you leave with him and before you knew it everything was dark.
You and druig didn't know why but you figured out early on, that you two could use your abilities on each other, something that you both vowed to never do without the others permission, so when you woke up to Ajax's face, the love of your life gone, and the rest of your family gone as well, you felt betrayed.
The icing on the cake had been when Ajax told you, that she could hear another heartbeat coming from you, something that should’ve been impossible due to the fact the eternals couldn’t reproduce with each other, you knew you hadn’t been with anyone other than druig, so Ajax and you brain stormed.
The only possible conclusion was that your ability of spontaneous creation, was what allowed you to have a child with him, all the times the two of you had sat in bed after a night of making love, talking about what it would be like to have children, had most likely activated your ability without you even realizing.
After Ajax told you the group had been disbanded, druig being gone and off the radar, you ventured out on your own with the happiness of being able to experience motherhood, even if druig wasn’t there to be with you.
Canada, 2024
You were reading an old copy of pride and prejudice as your daughter Selene, paced around your warmly decorated room, ranting to her human friends about one of college professors.
You and your daughter had settled here in 2004, you made a rule of moving around after a while, not staying in one place too long, but Selene begged and pleaded with you to stay, she loved the country and the people here.
You ultimately folded, given that you could never say no to her, not when she had her fathers eyes. She looked so much like druig, her abilities were even closer to his than they were to yours, Selene had the ability to move things with her mind.
You had told your daughter all about who her father was, as well as your family. Often telling her stories of their greatest moments, when she younger she loved them, now that she was centuries old and in college it helped her pass.
"Hey mom, I'm going upstairs for a bit." Selene said, breaking your inner thoughts.
"Yea no problem moon." You replied, the nickname came from many centuries ago, humans who met your daughter often said she was the embodiment of the moon.
As your daughter went upstairs, still on the phone with her friends there was a heavy knock on your door, moving off the couch you moved gracefully to the door, when the door opened you were shocked to say the least.
There almost all of your family, minus makkari and Ajax. You looked over them before your eyes met his, the ones that were identical to his daughters, the smirk on his face dropped once you heard footsteps behind you.
“Y/n, we need to talk.” Ikaris began, while you were staring at druig, all those feelings of betrayal slowly began to leave, as you looked at him smirking and sure you were listening, you could multitask.
After explaining Ajax’s death, and the emergence, you sat there taking in all the information “we need you y/n” sersi all but begged, the others all looking at you.
The sound of footsteps coming down the stairs drawer everyone’s eyes away from you, And the smirk fell off druigs face when the person spoke “mom do we have- oh we have company.” Selene spoke sheepishly, before slowly leaving and going back upstairs.
To all the eternals they realized that no matter how impossible it should’ve been, that was druig daughter. There was no doubt in any of their minds, she looked too much like the two of them to not be, whereas in drug’s mind he was heartbroken, he couldn’t see the resemblance and assumed that you had moved on, found a man and started a family with him.
“I think we should give these two some privacy, we’ll see you guys outside.” Sersi spoke, making the rest of the eternals follow behind her, many of the smiling and smirking in their way out.
“Congratulations daddy.” Kingo said patting druig on the shoulder, before walking out the front door.
Druig stood there processing what was just said, finally taking the time to think about what your daughter had looked like, he finally realized how similar she looked to the both of you, he looked at you and saw you weren’t making eye contact with him.
“Hello my beautiful, beautiful y/n.” He said walking over to sit in front of you, his hand coming up to hold your cheek, grazing his thumb of the soft skin and looking into your eyes.
“Hello druig.” You responded monotone, sure you were happy to see him but you couldn’t help to but feel slightly betrayed.
He signed, before he spoke “darling, I know I can’t take back what I did but if you’ll let me, I’d love to spend the rest of eternity making it up to you, I never should’ve left you, there hasn’t been a day I haven’t missed you and regretted leaving you.”
“Than why didn’t you come back? Why haven’t you looked for me all these centuries?” You asked.
“I had responsibilities, I couldn’t just leave no matter how much I wanted to.” He told you, looking like he was almost pleading with you to understand.
You did understand, you couldn’t leave your daughter because you had a responsibility to her, and you knew druig would never lie to you, so you slowly leaned in and rested your forehead against his.
“I love you, I never stopped loving you druig, nothing would make me happier than spending the rest of eternity with you.” You told him, causing the man to smile.
He leaned in a pressed a soft kiss to your lips before pulling away, “is she mine?” He asked looking at you with such hope in his eyes.
“Of course she is my love, I’ve never been with anyone else, just you, only ever you.” You told him smiling, watching his smile grow.
“I’d like to meet her.” He told you, so you brought him upstairs and introduced him to his daughter, he loved you her, the two were very similar but druig couldn’t help but love, the fact that she looked more like you than him, in his eyes that made his daughter so much more special to him.
All those late nights talking about your imaginary children, something he had thought was never a possibility for you two, now he was here looking at his beautiful, strong and intelligent daughter, he couldn’t help but think he was the luckiest man to exist.
He finally had the woman of his dreams back in his life, and the family together that you two had always wanted, life couldn’t be much better if only he had found you two before what could be the end of the world.

Hi there! I've been loving your Camilo x reader fics so much, and I've just seen all the other characters you write for too. I'd love to request a Druig x fem reader angst & fluff fic, set when the Eternals go to find Druig in the Amazon to get him to join their fight, they're shocked to find that he has a wife (reader) and a baby. Angsty because Druig is scared to leave her and their child, but fluffy with reader, like he promises to come home to her and their child? Thank you 💕
YES DRUIG BABAY <3 (also I made the child a daughter I hope this is okay)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
~Promise?~
Druig x fem!reader
Summary: The Eternals want, no, they need Druig's help to fight the ever-more-powerful Deviants, but it appears that he is perfectly content with his life alongside his wife and daughter.
Warnings: mentions of fighting and killing, some good ol' angst to tug on the heartstrings.
A/N: So I called his daughter Persephone because I just thought it would be nice (also I'm a Greek mythology nerd lmao) but if you don't like the name you can imagine something else. Enjoy!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Are you lost?"
The Eternals jumped at the sound of a young child's voice, all of them turning around to see a girl, no older than 10 it seemed. Sersi, taking a good look at the child, noticed how similar she and Druig looked.
But, alas, she shrugged it off. Must've been a coincidence.
"No, child, we are looking for-"
"I have a name."
Ikaris, being cut off by the unimpressed girl, was speechless. Until she gave him a toothy smile and introduced herself as 'Persephone'.
"Alright, Persephone, we are looking for a man named Druig."
Persephone stared at them blankly, before frowning and turning to walk away.
"Don't know a Drew Egg."
Sprite snickered. "Drew Egg," she mumbled under her breath, "totally using that one."
"No, Druig."
"Don't know a Druig either."
The group stood in silence for a moment, before the girl's blue eyes brightened and she began fiddling with her fingernails.
"Maybe my daddy will know! Do you want to meet him?"
Sersi smiled, leaning down to Persephone's height. It was easy to see which of them had more experience with children.
"Yes, little one," she whispered, "bring us to him."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The walk through the Amazon was certainly a long one, but that didn't make it any less breathtaking. The trees were tall and covered the sky, the only sunlight being the faint rays peaking through the leaves.
Persephone seemed overjoyed at the fact her life revolved around a large forest, skipping merrily instead of walking, before stopping abruptly upon seeing a (H/C) haired woman.
"Mama!" She called out, rushing to the woman who scooped the child up and began pressing kisses all over her face. She walked over to the group of superhumans and immediately introduced herself.
"I'm (Y/N), Persephone's mother, is there anything I can help you with?" Ikaris nodded, still gazing at the trees around him, before responding.
"Yes, do you happen to know where we can find a man named Druig?"
(Y/N)'s face fell, her heart sinking to her stomach. In seconds she knew exactly who those people were, and she turned on her heel and fled in the other direction, the rest of the group close behind her.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Druig?" Sersi called out, finally seeing the Eternal standing outside of a large house.
"Daddy!" Persephone called out, leaping from her mother's arms into her father's and wrapping her tiny arms around his neck. (Y/N) said nothing, her eyes watching the pair, standing firmly next to the flabbergasted Eternals. Druig? A father? When did this happen?
Upon seeing his wife's stern expression next to his former group, he ran up to her and placed the giddy child in her arms, pressing a kiss to her cheek.
"I'll speak to you in a minute, darling."
She simply hummed in response, wrapping her arms tightly around Persephone and walking away. Druig turned to the rest of the Eternals and scowled.
"Make this quick."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
"So what, you're just gonna leave like that!? We have a child to take care of, Dru, you are a father!"
"And me leaving for a month or two does not make me any less of a father to our daughter." The moment Druig walked out of the meeting, chaos erupted in his cabin when he told his wife everything.
(Y/N) stared at her husband, tears flooding her eyes, but she refused to let them fall.
"Don't do this to me Druig, to us, what about Seph? Huh? What am I gonna tell her? 'Oh don't worry sweetie, daddy is just gonna leave and possibly never come back because of some old friends who ditched him in the past. No big deal!'?"
Druig sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose in exasperation. "(Y/N) darling, I think you're overreacti-" "So what if I am!? I have a valid point, and you know I do." "I'm trying to save you." "But what if I don't need saving? What if I'm perfectly happy with my life with my husband and my daughter?" The Eternal was growing more and more frustrated by the minute.
"God, (Y/N), just shut up and accept the fact that I'm trying to create a better life for us!" He snapped at her, turning to face himself in the mirror.
An uncomfortable silence filled the room, the couple not daring to even look at each other. Before (Y/N) walked up to her husband and placed her gentle arms around him.
"I know, baby, I'm sorry."
Pulling her into a tight embrace, Druig buried his face into the crown of her head. Relishing in their wholesome moment, he barely heard (Y/N)'s mumble from the crook of his neck.
"Jus' come back alive, right honey?" He smiled, pulling away to kiss her frowning lips.
"Of course, my lady." -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Druig watched with melancholy eyes as his wife and daughter waved him on as he left.
But, his heart seemed to have filled with something new.
Determination. Pure, pure determination.
He was going to make it home to his family, and he would not stop until he could.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
holy crap it is 02:10AM in England rn and I am dehydrated as hell. that's why this is so bad, I'm sorry

join the gang!
Going to see your girlfriend at her house that you have been to many times before should not make you nervous. Sadly this was not the case for Peter Parker as he stood at your door fist ready to knock. He was already late, he didn’t forget by any means, rather, he lost track of time trying to develop some new mechanics inside his suit. Peter hoped that as his hand hit the door the person who opened it would be a smiling face. So basically he meant anyone but Ikaris who seemed to absolutely despise him. What did not help was Peter definitely assumed that you and your mother had told him about all of the times he had been over where Ikaris was not present. As he heard footsteps coming his pulse quickened and he shut his eyes just a bit as the door opened all the way.
“You got something in your eye spider boy.” You laughed at him posing as his he had been preparing to get smacked.
“N-no Y/n I am all good.” You moved out of the way as he stepped inside he whispered under his breath, “It’s spiderman, why does no one know that?”
“Hey Peter, Y/n and I made cookies and there are drinks in the fridge, you know you can help yourself.” He looked up smiling at your mother who had offered her kitchen to him.
“Thank you.” The two of you sat on the floor as you dragged your bookbag from the side of the couch.
“So, just to tell you this now, I read none of the books we were supposed to read for biology. And before you say anything it’s not because I did not want to, I just did not feel like it and I had very little time on my hands.” You pointed your finger at him laying down on your stomach and took the two books from your backpack
“Does that mean I get to do biology?” Peter smiled at you and grabbed your hand from pointing at him.
“Yes, congratulations Parker you got science!” You cheered at him before taking your hand from him and getting a folder out of your bag throwing it at him.
He just laughed at you taking the hand that was throwing the folder and grabbed it before you could retract it. He held onto your wrist as you relaxed all of the muscles in your arm making your hand flop forward. Peter kissed the top of your hand as the front door opened once again. You turned your head as Peter froze with your hand still in his.
“I’m home,” Ikaris shouted, turning his head as he felt eyes staring at him.
“Hey dad, mom is somewhere.” You looked away from him and back at Peter who was petrified, sitting more still than a statue.
“That’s nice, I will be looking for her right now.” He didn’t take his eyes away from the two of you as he raced down the hall yelling your mother's name.
Taking your hand from Peter's loose grip you tapped him on the cheek and he jumped back almost body slamming the fireplace.
“Woah, you okay?” You were genuinely concerned, he was rarely this anxious and you were unaware of his fear towards your father.
“Yeah I am great, I am fine, perfect.” He came back and placed your hand on his face, basically slapping himself before leaning into your touch slightly.
Even though you did not believe a word out of his mouth, you didn’t wanna push the issues further and possibly cause him a panic attack. As Peter looked down at the book and pretended to read he listened in to the conversation happening down the hallway.
“You left them alone in there!” Peter could tell that was your fathers' voice and the voice shushing them was that of Sersi.
“They are in the living room in front of a huge window next to an unlocked door, what are they gonna do?” He was thankful for Sersi knowing that if she wasn’t there he would’ve probably had to fight your dad.
“He was holding her wrist.” Ikaris argued back at her, trying to make the point that the two of you had touched.
“Oh my god! No! Not her wrist! You do hear how ridiculous that sounds right?” Sersi had just made fun of his tone and what he had said.
“Wrist this time, breast next time.” Ikaris was clearly not happy with his wife’s response.
“It’s Peter Parker for god's sake, they build legos together and yes they hug, hold hands, and kiss but-” Ikaris had cut her off speaking louder than their hushed voices, “THEY WHAT?”
“Are a normal young, happy couple who are doing schoolwork on the floor.” Sersi had put her hand over his mouth before he could say anything whilst she was speaking.
“Schoolwork.” Peter could not see it but could hear in his voice that he was using air quotes or at least did not believe her response.
“Go look, he is helping her do homework.” Peter could hear Sersi’s footsteps retreating.
“So you’re just gonna leave them in the living room alone?” Ikaris was staying put where he was, his head was directed towards Sersi.
“YES!” Sersi yelled which made even you turn your head.
Peter heard Ikaris scoff before he noticed you staring at him wide-eyed and confused at both your mother’s word and the look on Peter’s face.
“I’m not sure what all that was about.” You just shrugged your shoulders and looked back down at your notebook.
“Psh yeah me neither,” Peter spoke in a much more suspicious tone than he meant to.
Footsteps came down the hall and Peter looked down at his book noticing they were heavy. Someone was digging in the kitchen and pulling out a chair at the kitchen island.
You took no real notice to the sounds you were used to, but Peter was on incredibly high guard as he peeked over to see your father sitting with a bowl of cereal.
“I’m thirsty and bored. Do you want something to drink?” You jumped up from your place on the floor as Peter's eyes shot to you.
“Uhm, yeah sure water if you have it.” Peter was not entirely sure what he was saying.
“Peter, we have a fridge that produces water.” You stood up and walked around him putting a hand on his back.
“It actually doesn’t produce water, it dispenses water. The water dispenser is actually what spits out the water. When you push the cup against that piece of plastic it activates a valve to release water.” You laughed at Peter’s little rant. “Fun fact.” He piped out with a weak smile on his face.
“Fun facts with Peter, I really like it, good to know that if it ever breaks you can fix it.” You shook your head still laughing a little before turning away.
“I could fix it as well and I live here. I can also get my own water.” Ikaris mentioned looking at you as you grabbed two cups from the cabinet.
“I certainly hope you know how to push a piece of plastic backward on a machine you bought. Dad, you couldn’t fix it, the last time we let you “fix” an appliance it was split in half on the kitchen floor. Why are you eating a bowl of cereal when dinner is gonna be starting soon?” You filled both cups with water as Peter tripped over himself and walked over to you to get his own water.
“Cereal just seemed like a good snack, isn’t that right Parker?” His head jerked back towards Peter as he took the cup of water from your hand.
“I usually just have that for breakfast, sir.” Peter was walking away quickly as he spoke, knowing that any answer he gave would be bad.
“Just sit on the couch, I need a break from homework.” You told him as you watched him move to sit on the floor.
Peter looked over at you and then at Ikaris before sitting down on the couch being sure to put his drink on the coaster. You walked around not even paying attention to your father as you sat down next to Peter on the couch laying your head on his shoulder. Your dad was coughing behind you violently as if he choked on his cereal.
“We still on for Saturday evening or have your plans changed?” Peter knew that he could change his plans and you would be fine with it. The two of you had been together a long time and saw each other really frequently so you understood that he had a lot of balancing to do.
“We are still on.” He nodded looking down at your phone that you had pulled from your pocket trying to ignore the eyes piercing the back of his skull.
“You get to pick what we do, but I get to pick what we eat, I’ll get it or make it beforehand so your Aunt doesn’t have to cook.” You snuggled more into Peter’s side trying to make him more comfortable assuming your father had left and even if he didn’t you couldn’t have cared less.
“Y/n she is gonna cook for us anyway, but I like your thinking, maybe she will cook less if I tell her that ahead of time.” Peter took your phone away from you jokingly taking a picture of himself to send out on your Snapchat.
“I know but I feel bad that every time we’re there she feels like she has to make a full course meal for just the three of us.” You thought back to the time she had tried to make Italian food and had made way too much. Peter talked about how he ate alfredo for weeks.
“Y/n you go to his house?” Ikaris asked you from the table.
“Yes, just like how he comes here.” You answered his question not moving from the position you had on the couch.
“Not just like how he comes here, I am not present.” Ikaris could not imagine but still did think about all of the possibilities.
“I’m starting dinner but before that, I need a little help with something Ikaris.” Sersi stood next to the island gesturing for him to come here.
“You’re a strong smart woman, you've got this.” Ikaris was still staring at the two of you as he spoke.
“Come here.” Sersi began to guide him off the stool and out of the room.
“You’re scared of my dad.” You sat up from Peter’s shoulder looking at him with a small smirk on your face believing that you’d figured it out.
“What! I-I am not.” Peter looked around the room as he said that not sure if he’d actually left the room or not.
“You totally are! You’re scared of him, awe.” You pulled Peter into your arms and shook him a little. Even though you did not find him scary, he was not very friendly towards Peter.
“He hates me.” Peter laid his head on your shoulder and wrapped his arm around you.
“He doesn’t hate you, he hates that you could be fucking his daughter, touching his daughter in any way, or speaking to his daughter frequently.” You could hear Peter cough a little bit at your answer to his statement.
“I-yeah, I guess, I just feel like any moment he’s gonna fly across the room and laser me in half with his eyes.” Peter pulled back and made gestures as he spoke.
“I would not let him do that ever. Plus you’re spider-man, you could feel that coming and protect yourself, or web away from here.” You jokingly reassured Peter as he heard footsteps approaching arguing a bit like before.
As they made their way into the kitchen Ikaris and Sersi quietly bickered and you came up with a plan pulling out your phone and opening your notes. Nudging Peter a little bit to look down at your phone he was confused until he read the note:
When mom asks if you wanna stay for dinner, say no.
He looked at you even more confused wondering how that would even be a good idea, taking the phone from your hands carefully.
Why would I do that? Do you just want your dad to hate me?
He slipped the phone back into your hands as you shook your head and looked over the back of the couch whilst still typing in your notes.
“Hey Peter has to leave, May needs help with chores she has to work later than usual.” You lied to your parents as you finished typing the note.
Go home for like two hours and then come back just not through the door, come through my window.
Peter laughed at the note and just typed a smiley face into the note as he nodded his head and picked up his book bag. He waved goodbye to your parents and Ikaris walked over as you sat on the couch shaking your head.
“Were you two talking about me?” He sat down next to you as you messed with your phone behind your back typing in random emojis.
“No dad, why would I ever do that?” You raised your eyebrows at him as he looked at you with a small glare trying to read your face. He just stared at you as you got up and left your phone open on the couch.
As he watched you walk down the hall and go into the bathroom he picked up your phone and looked in your notes.
“What are you doing with her phone?” Sersi walked behind the couch and looked over his shoulder.
“What the hell do all these little characters mean?” Ikaris showed Sersi what he was looking at as he tried to decipher what each of them meant.
“Those are called emojis grandpa.” Sersi looked down at the phone as well.
“I BETTER NOT BE A DAMN GRANDPA.” Ikaris was now frantically looking at the emojis, still not at all sure what he was looking at.
“They don’t mean anything, it’s a winky face, a smiley face, a heart, a spider, a boy, a book, and what looks to be an okay symbol. None of those things connect.” Sersi shook her head and patted him on the shoulder.
“She was giggling about it when she got up, she did this on purpose and he knows what it means.” Ikaris put the phone back on the couch and jumped up, walking over to her as his daughter walked back down the hall.
“I’m gonna take my school stuff to my room and work some more, let me know when dinners are ready.” You cleaned up your bookbag from the floor and headed to your room.
Thankfully dinner had distracted your father as you kept the conversation off of Peter at all costs and more onto things that he liked. Especially asking questions about him and what he had to do which he happily discussed. Your mother knew something was up but did not care, she knew you could make your own choices. After helping her clean up from dinner you went into your room and snapchatted Peter that they were distracted and watching tv. That he could come over any time, so whilst you waited you turned on the tv in your room and watched it. After a while, a knock was at your door.
“Come in.” You hadn’t checked your phone in a bit so you hadn’t realized that Peter had snapped you back telling you that he was on his way.
“I know that little prank you pulled on me was to get back at me.” Ikaris leaned against the door frame before shutting the door and walking all the way in to sit on your bed.
“Yes because you don’t play nice and he hasn’t done anything to make you think he isn’t nice.” You turned your tv down and sat up towards the top of your bed.
“Alright alright, I will play nice the next time I see him, or at least I will try. I’ll talk to him and not stare at him.” He was quoting some things that Sersi had told him not to do anymore.
“Thank you dad I-” The moment you said that you heard something slam into your window and your eyes grew large. Ikaris immediately jumped up and pulled up the blind.
“WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?” Peter was dressed in his spider-man suit with his mask on. Ikaris jumped off the bed. “I’M GONNA GET A BROOM STAY AWAY FROM THE WINDOW!”
As you went to stop your dad you heard Peter scream and fall off the side of your window straight into the yard in the living room, next to the kitchen where the big window was. This was gonna be a fun night…

Parent Problem
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x reader (Dad!bucky and hubby x reader)
Word Count: 1,220
Summary: It’s your daughter’s first day of 2nd grade and Bucky makes a production at drop off :)
Author’s Note: This is for the HBC’s @the-ss-horniest-book-club back to school week celebration and the continuation of drunk drabbles and the fun prompt below. I love dad!bucky and I like making him soft and sweet but also sexy and clearly the hottest dad that ever existed. Hope you enjoy! Thank you all for reading! Much love always! ❤❤❤
Warnings: Sweet fluffy love, sassiness on everyone’s part, fun, sexy Bucky, Bucky with a baby...
Your daughter bursts into the bathroom, the dog hot on her heels, “Mama, Daddy burned my pancake and I’m hungry and we can’t be late for the first day of school!” You peek out from behind the shower curtain, smiling at Samantha and the dog, “hi baby. Ok, I’ll be right out, and I can help daddy.” She doesn’t look satisfied but nods and walks out, taking Winter with her.
The smell of burnt food is the first thing that greets you when you enter the kitchen followed by your sheepish looking husband standing over the sink, scrubbing the pan. “Hey doll, I started the pancake, then she got upset about her hair and I tried to fix it and, in the meantime, forgot the pancake and well…” You kiss him softly, going to the freezer and grabbing a waffle. “It’s ok baby, she likes these too and it will be quick.”
Sam walks into the kitchen with her backpack and sits at the table, staring the two of you down. “Did you make a waffle mama; those are quick right?” You point to the toaster oven and give her a thumbs up, smoothing your hand down Bucky’s chest before checking Sam’s lunch. “We’ll be fine honey, don’t worry.”
She doesn’t look convinced, tapping her fingers along the table while she waits for her food. Bucky sits across from her, mimicking the tapping with his metal hand and smiling. “Daddy, what are you doing?” He shrugs, trying not to let his smile grow, “nothing baby girl. Just waiting for breakfast.” Sam rolls her eyes playfully and gets up, rounding the table to sit in Bucky’s lap.
“Are you nervous?” he asks, realizing he is himself. “No! I’m ready for 2nd grade daddy! I can’t wait to show Ava my schoolbag and all my new stuff.” Bucky chuckles, letting out a breath and kissing her head. The baby monitor starts to blink red and the small cries of your 7-month-old ring out through the kitchen.
“I’ll get her doll face, you finish breakfast.” Bucky gently sets Sam down then heads upstairs. The sound of Rose’s crying stops as soon as Bucky walks in the room and you grab the monitor to watch him pick her up and hold her against his chest. You can’t stop the sigh that leaves your lips at the sight of them and Sam stands on the kitchen chair to peek over your shoulder.
“Why are you sighing Mama? What’s wrong?” You drag your eyes from the scene on the monitor and smile softly, “nothing at all my sweet, your daddy is so handsome, and I just love you all so much.” Sam nods enthusiastically, hugging you around the waist, “l love you too Mama and he is the most handsome.” Bucky’s eyes lock onto the camera in the corner of the room, his grin wide when he asks, “you know I can hear you both, right?”
You stick your tongue out and shut it off, Bucky walking into the room soon after with a haughty smile and Rose in his arms. She drops her pacifier on the floor and starts to cry. Bucky retrieves it and makes sure it’s clean before putting it back in her mouth. She doesn’t take it and continues to whimper so he sets it down and takes her small chubby hands in his, placing them on his beard. She immediately quiets and starts pulling at the hairs, giving him a drooly smile.
“She likes it almost as much as you do,” he gloats, winking your way. “Mmmmm, well we have very different reasons for it,” you tease, leaning down to kiss him. “Can you guys please stop. We need to leave in 5 minutes.” Sam takes the last bite of her waffle and gets up, shaking her head on the way to get her shoes.
“When did 7 become 17?” Bucky asks, his eyes soft with emotion. “Just wait until they are both big.” You give him a horrified look and drop the dishes in the sink, rinsing your hands and grabbing the bags. “Come on, let’s go pack up the car.”
When you arrive in front of the school, Bucky grabs Rose and you get Sam out of the car and situated. Bucky takes out his phone and hands Sam her ‘first day of 2nd grade’ sign. “Ok, baby girl, let’s see that big smile.” She smiles candidly, waiting until he snaps a bunch of photos. “Ok now all of us.” Squeezing between the two of you and Rose she makes a silly face while Bucky holds his long arm out to take some more.
You lean over and kiss his cheek in one and then nibble on Rose’s hands still stuck in his beard in another. After a few more silly ones you all stand and Bucky puts his phone back in his pocket before dragging you in for a sweet kiss on the lips. Sam’s disgruntled voice interrupts you, “really daddy. You’re always kissing mama. Too much PDA.”
Bucky’s eyebrows draw together, and he looks to you, “what is she talking about?” Rose gives a particularly hard tug on his beard and he let’s out a yelp, laughing when she giggles. He bends down to Sam and kisses her cheek, “have a good day honey. And stop using words daddy doesn’t understand. You’re only 7.”
She crosses her small arms over her body and sticks out her hip, “daddy, P D A means public display of affection. Everyone knows that.” His eyes go wide, and he stands, “how do you know that?” Sam’s eyes shift to you and she smiles mischievously, “ask mama, I have to go to school.” She wraps her arms around your legs as best she can before skipping off to find her friends.
“Ok baby, let’s hear it.” You brush him off nonchalantly and keep your eyes on Sam, her happy little dance making you smile. Bucky circles his free arm around your waist and brings his lips to your ear, “so am I not supposed to do things like this while we’re out in public?” He follows his question with a light squeeze to your ass, loving the quiet squeal you let out.
“What about this?” he asks, trailing his lips down your neck, his beard rubbing against your soft skin. You bite your lip and try to keep your gaze focused on what’s happening in front of you, but you can’t stop your low moan. “This is definitely considered PDA Buck,” you giggle, leaning into him. He sneaks his hand under the hem of your shirt and rubs small circles on your hip. “You still haven’t answered my question doll. How does Sam know about this?”
Kissing the corner of his mouth you take Rose from his arm and open the car door, securing her in the car seat. “Let’s go home and put her down for a nap and I can tell you all about it.” He reaches over you and shuts the door, checking on Rose one more time before pressing you against the car, “I like the sound of that. Maybe I can get a more in-depth lesson on PDA too.” You give his beard a sharp tug, shivering when he growls low, “I absolutely love this idea Buck.”

Night Patrol - Peter Parker
[ Peter Parker x reader ]
Summary: When Peter attempted to stop a deviant attack, you stood in the way. Now you had to explain to him how you’ve been living hundreds of lives as an eternal without freaking him out.
Author’s note: click here for full request. The reader is essentially the same one from the fic i wrote a while ago called Artemis. This one took place right before the 2024 events in eternals, and after Spiderman: Far From Home.
Warnings: violence (fighting deviants)
Word Count: 2,511
Read Artemis - Druig x Makkari!daughter
You had to admit. With the amount of things happening at the same time, you didn’t think a study session with Peter was the wisest activity for you to be currently doing right now.
Not only had spiderman's identity been revealed to the world not too long ago, but you’d also seen a certain Ikaris on the news. Even worse, Ikaris fighting a deviant with Sersi and Sprite, a creature you thought had been long gone ever since the eternals got rid of every deviant on the earth’s surface.
If Ikaris was with Sersi, then it was about time he’d find the rest of the eternals. You weren’t sure whether he needed you, yet you had a certain voice in the back of your mind telling you that they were going to come to you sooner or later.
“Hey, you okay?” the quiet voice snapped you back to reality. Peter was eyeing you, sitting inches away with a textbook on his lap.
“Yeah. Just trying to remember,” you answered. It technically wasn’t a lie. You were trying to remember the results for each test that you’d done in the biology lab this semester, until you started thinking of the more worrying events that happened the past week.
Peter eyed you for a few more seconds, not seeming convinced, but decided to drop the topic.
“Well it’s late and I gotta patrol. You know, spiderman stuff. So I’ll see you later?” You gave him a gentle smile and nodded.
“Don’t forget to lay low,” you reminded as he took a few steps back, replying with his own smile.
Watching Peter run to patrol worried you. Especially after the whole killing Mysterio thing. But what worried you most was the deviant you’d seen in the news a few days ago. You didn’t think it was possible for the deviants to come back when you thought they were already dead thousands of years ago, but apparently, you were wrong.
So that’s how you ended up following Peter on his patrol, making sure to stay hidden in the shadows as you observed him. You were relieved to find that the night had mostly been him just gliding from building to building, not a sign of danger anywhere. Though that asuring feeling didn’t last too long.
It was barely noticeable, but you saw the faint movement in the alleyway and it was no doubt inhuman. Throughout your childhood you’ve seen many deviants, but this one wasn’t like most you saw. It looked somewhat evolved and stronger, like the one you encountered not too long ago, judging from how it didn’t die with a shot of your silent arrow through its heart.
He hadn’t noticed it yet, but by the time he did, Peter was flung to the nearby wall when he tried to stop the deviant from rampaging the city streets.
And here’s to hoping he won’t notice you, you thought as you jumped down from the high rooftop of a building.
Deviants had grown a distinct instinct over time to harm eternals from their past encounters, hence is why when you ran towards it, the creature quickly diverted its attention to you instead.
Peter had just regained his composure, slightly shaking his head as he finally noticed you in the streets, in front of the monstrous creature.
“Are you insane? What are you doing?!” he yelled frantically, going over to you with the quickest possible method he could with his webs.
“Woah, wait-!” before you could object, he lifted you up in his arms and brought you to a balcony.
The deviant quickly followed not too far behind, causing Peter to panic and mumble incoherently, “This is not good. This is not good. Why is it targeting you?”
“Watch out!”
The deviant slammed the both of you through the window, separating you from Peter as the both of you fell to the ground. You got up first and noticed the scared poor old lady who was in her kitchen area.
“I am so sorry. May I borrow this please?” When she nodded hesitantly, you grabbed a pan from her counter, throwing it to Peter who looked defenseless against the creature. He threw the pan at it -- which barely caused it to flinch -- and diverted the deviant’s attention from you.
You hastily formed a golden knife in your hands, like how Thena had told you many years ago, the memory of her first lesson imprinted in your head. Peter was panicking by now as he figured that nothing he threw on the creature had affected it, muttering occasional ‘oh no’s over and over again from time to time.
Before it could get to him, you sliced its head off, leaving Peter to gape -- gag -- in shock at your figure behind its fallen form.
“Wha- what- what is going on? What did you just- How did you- what?” The poor boy couldn’t manage to speak from his shock as he tried to comprehend what had just happened a few seconds ago.
“Do you mind if we-” The old lady shook her head nicely, still spooked from the giant creature in her apartment living room. You pulled Peter up by his arm and towards the balcony where Peter brought you to escape the deviant a while ago.
“Ever notice how I don’t look older by time?” you questioned as Peter kept his eyes on the deviant in the living room, still in shock.
“We’ve only known each other since highschool.”
“Exactly,” you paused before continuing, “And you never seemed to notice how I don’t look any older after a few years?”
Peter was rendered speechless and he looked puzzled as you continued, “They’re called deviants. Your powers won’t work against them.
“Then how did you-?”
“The eternals were sent to earth seven thousand years ago by celestials in order to protect humans from the deviants. I’m not necessarily an eternal, but my powers still work against them since my parents are eternals.”
“You’re seven thousand years old?! What-?”
“Two thousand and nine hundred,” you corrected. Seeming as how Peter was still rendered speechless by your statement, you continued, “Well, nineteen and technically two years older than you. And I’ll stay nineteen for about a century, so-”
You were interrupted by a deviant crashing to the brick wall behind the two of you, and before it could attack either of you, you saw the bustling and screaming of the people down in the streets that averted its attention from you and Peter.
“Wait, wait, wait,” he continued, ignoring the faint sounds of battle in the background. “So you’re telling me that-”
“Peter! Save people, talk later.”
“Right, yeah.”
You didn’t hesitate to aim the arrow you created within seconds as Peter’s mask appeared and he quickly swung from the balcony to save people that were targeted by the deviant. The balcony was a good place to shoot, considering how the deviant didn’t bother to climb the buildings and attacked the busy streets instead.
The golden arrow that pierced its shoulder barely injured it and you concluded that it would take more than ten arrows to finally kill it. The deviant looked up, roaring at you as it climbed buildings towards you. At least you got its attention, and Peter’s as he followed behind it, swinging from building to building.
“Sorry, ma’am. I need to borrow this!” you shouted as you jumped from the balcony with the kitchen knife in hand, Peter and the deviant still following behind. You didn’t inherit your mother, Makkari’s superspeed, which meant it was impossible to outrun the deviant, so the other thing you could do was distract it and lead it away from the city because slicing it in half would be difficult in the large streets.
Fortunately -- or unfortunately --, you lived away from the tall buildings, yet close enough to divert the deviant there.
“What’s the plan?!” you heard Peter shout as he caught up with you. The deviant swung its claw on him and it barely scraped him as he lifted himself higher.
“My place is near here and no one lives around there. We can take it there until it stays still enough so I can kill it!”
“Hurry!” Peter yelled as he distracted the deviant from you, slowing it down.
The creature kept its target on you, knocking Peter’s constant distractions away. As soon as you reached your house, you noticed your first mistake through the glass window.
“Alfee,” you warned as your dog wagged his tail, looking out through a closed window. “Stay inside.”
“Look out!” yelled Peter and you ran aside as the deviant slammed into the wall where you were standing in front of not too long ago. Climbing it wasn’t too difficult, but staying on the deviant was a more of a difficult task than Peter came to find as he kept rushing you to do something.
Your knife was already in hand, and the deviant was already jumping around, thrashing its tentacles at you as a sign to get off his back. It managed to injure your side, though it looked like Peter didn't notice in the dark.
“I’m sorry! You try staying on this thing!” you responded to Peter’s unhelpfully obvious observations along the lines of ‘its attacking you’ and ‘it has tentacles!’, though the latter was more of a cry of disgust.
Thena would be disappointed by how much you lacked coordinance when you’d finally managed to slice the thing and kill it, but it got the job done anyways. Now just comes the other problem that’s currently running towards you.
“Okay- What- You better start explaining. I-” he looked tense, hurt, confused, and betrayed at the same time. The two of you started dating -- or whatever your relationship was called -- after Mysterio, so you didn’t blame him for looking so betrayed.
Yet instead you couldn’t form the right words in your head. Your mouth went dry as you attempted to answer, but it ended up in silence and your stupid answer afterwards, “look, Alfee is probably really scared and it’s getting late-”
“No, I can stay,” Peter argued and took steps towards you, but was stopped forcefully before he could reach you.
“We’ll talk about this in the morning.” Peter was now pushed towards the other direction unwillingly by the golden glow that formed by his sides and trapped his arms, forming an arch of a bow without its strings.
“This isn’t funny!” he yelled with his head facing towards you, his body, however, refused to cooperate. And when he started drifting further and further away, he hastily racked an excuse in his brain to get you to stop with whatever thing you had casted on him.
“I’ll do your chemistry homework if you let me stay!” he quickly mumbled all at once, not even trying to mask his desperation that made you hesitate for a moment, pausing on your ministrations on getting him to leave forcefully.
“It’s just-” His voice slightly cracked before he sighed in defeat. “I can’t really blame you for not telling me. I mean, I didn’t at first. Tell you I’m- you know, spiderman.”
You took steps closer towards him, silence crackling in the air before he mumbled quietly, “How is it? Are you relieved I found out?”
“I,” you paused, furrowing your eyebrows. “I guess I am. I just hate that you found out this way. It’s not like I had to keep it a secret, unlike you.”
“Hey, it’s okay.”
“I’m sorry. I guess I was just scared how’d you react when you’ll finally find out I don’t age. I mean, how is this even going to work between us?” You gestured to the little space between the two of you.
“I’ll grow old and wrinkly and you stay as beautiful and young?” he joked, taking a step closer as you let out a half-hearted laugh at his attempts.
"Yes. I suppose. Now let's get rid of that corpse before someone finds it," you said, stepping away and heading towards the deviant lying dead on the grass.
“Wait. So that guy in the news was an eternal?” Peter asked as he caught up to you.
“Mhm. Ikaris.”
“Like the greek god?”
“He is the ‘greek god’ humans back then used to talk about.”
“No way.” Peter paused, and before he could stop himself, he grinned as if he couldn't believe what you were saying and uttered out, “Which one are you- oh wait! Artemis. Right. Your name.”
You managed to crack an amused smile at how impressed he sounded.
"What are you going to do with this?" he questioned, looming over your kneeling figure.
"I don't know. Get rid of it someway I guess. Looks like I'll have to miss school for a while." you sighed, lifting yourself back up to face him.
"We have our finals tomorrow."
"No, you have yours tomorrow. I don't think I'll be back for a while. Not with the deviants and eternals around."
"What?" he started to stammer in panic. "Will-will I ever see you again?"
After centuries of living, this one might just be your favorite with how Peter never fails to amuse you. He looked dejected as you snorted in response and lightly punched his arm. "Don't be so dramatic. I'm not leaving for good."
"But what about-" Before he could go any further, you took a step towards him and grabbed him by his collar. You pulled him towards you, bringing his lips to yours.
Peter stayed frozen still, but eventually responded. His hands found themselves wrapping around you, holding you there as if you'd run away any moment now.
"Go home and nail your finals tomorrow. I'll take care of this and when I come back, I'll explain everything. I promise." you whispered against his lips as his thumb started to lightly stroke your hips, trying to ignore the pain in your side that he still hadn't noticed.
"Yeah," he replied, still stuck in his daze.
You gave him one final peck to the lips before completely pulling away and walking back towards your front door, looking back to smile and wave goodbye.
Peter responded with a smile of his own and took a few steps back whilst putting on his mask, giving himself a starting run before disappearing into the city.
"Looks like you might be needing a new caretaker for a little while," you faced your dog who joined you as you entered the house and closed the door.
You weren't too fond at the thought of the eternals coming to visit with whatever explanation they had going on, and you'd hope they'd come to forget about you. Worse, you were known as 'spiderman's girlfriend' on the news and you could just hear Kingo's never ending bickering.
However, one way or another, you knew Ikaris had to get to you if he needed your father, and you were proven right after his not-so welcomed visit the next day.
After his explanation, you could only hope to be able to return to Peter alive.
Your Powers: shapeshifting into animals, turning others into animals, wielding and creating a bow and arrow (like how Thena creates her weapons out of thin air)
